Lol I ACCUMULATE a lot of political books on my virtual to-read shelf.... Will come back and pick "yes" when I actually get around to reading them.

Off the top of my head:
- I've read an Obama auto-biography called "Dreams From My Father" bc my aunty gave it to me, and as much as I disagree with him on many political issues, it was really good insight into growing up as a black person in the US
- "Depends What You Mean By Extremist" is a book written by a comedian who spent a year meeting up with various extremists (white nationalists, ISIS supporters, etc) and it's fucking hilarious in a dark humour sort of way
- I've got two on the go right now: one about racial equality, the other about economic left-right stuff. I'm really enjoying them but I stalled bc of life stuff.

And although they aren't "political books", I also enjoy fiction more when it has some political themes (and I think all adult fantasy does this to some extent). Eg. "The Traitor Baru Cormorant" is a great dark fantasy book I read this year that has some strong anti-imperialist themes. The premise is based around Baru joining the Empire who invaded her homeland in order to sabotage them from within (but will she get sucked in to their evil? dun dun dun)
