Chapter Three- 

"Artemis, checking in. All clear up here." Artemis radioed in. The rest of the Team radioed in their positions and status'. 

"The parade is beginning." Robin said.

The Team had spread out along the đường phố, street the parade was taking place. Their was roughly one superhero every block. Artemis was the closest to the action. Her bow notched and ready, her watchful eye over the garrisons of policemen and women below her spot on Town Hall.

Aqualad was near the park where a pond conveniently located.

Robin, Miss Martian, Superboy, and Kid Flash were in order down the street.

"Target approaching." Robin said. Sure enough, the mayor was walking out of Town Hall onto the stage to give his speech.

"Infrared vision reports nothing." Superboy said. "Wait, there's someone on your building Aqualad."

"I'm checking it-oof!"

"Aqualad!"

"He's down! di chuyển in!" Robin yelled. "KF, get the mayor out of here!"

The Team moved towards the Assassin's position. All except for Wally, who was running toward the mayor at full speed, and Artemis who was providing air cover.

"Get down!" Kid Flash yelled, tackling the mayor. Policemen and women unholstered their weapons and looked around.

Artemis's keen eye looked for the assassin. She scanned the area. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a hint of green.

"Cheschire." she muttered and shot an Mũi tên xanh in that direction. It detonated, sending smoke into the air. Superboy leaped across the đường phố, street and landed where Cheschire was. A moment later he was thrown out the window into the street.

Miss Martian and Robin went in. Sounds of scuffle and it was quiet.

"Megan!" Artemis called through her radio. No response.

"I've got it." a voice đã đưa ý kiến into her ear comm. a dark figure swung into the building. 

"Wally, stay here! I'm going after Cheschire!" Artemis said, and shot an Mũi tên xanh across the gap. She hooked her bow to it and zip lined across.

"Alright everybody, back up, back up." Wally shouted. He looked up at Artemis zipping across. "Leave me with the grunt work."

Artemis chim bồ câu, bồ câu into the building, her bow swinging around. Cheschire was hanging up in a corner, tied and unconscious. Megan and Robin groaned and sat up. Aqualad burst through the door.

"What happened?" he asked.

"Cheschire." Artemis said.

"Who defeated her?"

"Our mysterious help- There he is!" Artemis exclaimed, pointing at the doorway. A shadowy figure saluted and ran off.

"Miss Martian! Now!" Aqualad yelled. Miss Martian nodded and touched her head. "Bioship is here." she said.

The Team jumped out the window and into the bioship. They sped off around a corner.

The figure had disappeared.

"Did bạn establish the link?" Aqualad asked, Megan nodded.

"This way." she said, steering the bioship down a street.

The Team navigated the streets of Gotham for a while, until they arrived in an alley.

"I recognize this!" Artemis exclaimed. "This is a zeta-tube transporter!"

"What is?" Superboy asked, looking around.

"The telephone booth!" Artemis pointed.

"M'gann, open a hatch." Aqualad ordered. A hatch opened in the side and the Team walked out. They went in one bởi one into the zeta-tube. They walked into a surprising scene at the cave.

Batman, Superman, Black Canary, Green and Red Arrow, RedTornado, Flash, Aquaman, Zatarra, and a few other members of the Justice League were waiting. One unknown figure stood in front of them.

"Recognized, Kid Flash, B-Zero-Three."

Wally ran right into everyone, knocking them down.

"He's here!" he yelled in panic. "He's-oh," 

The figure stood in front of the Justice League with his arms crossed across his chest. 

He wore all black. None of his skin showed. His ragged cape resembled Batman's and his áo khoác was unzipped. On his T-shirt there was a red dagger with a red vòng tròn outlining it. His face and neck was completely covered bởi a mask. Where eyeholes were was covered bởi sunglasses which Robin had a suspicion did thêm than cover his eyes.

"I believe bạn are familiar with Revenge." Người dơi started.

"Red Revenge." the figure corrected in a deep, obviously filtered, voice.

Robin raised his eyebrows. No one corrected Batman.

"Familiar?!" Wally exclaimed after a moment of silence. "He's been following us! Under your orders!"

"We have not ordered anyone to follow you." Manhunter said. "Revenge acted on his own."

"As I always do." Revenge said.

"Who are you?" Robin asked.

Robin couldn't tell for sure, but he thought Red Revenge smirked under his mask.

"That's for me to know." he said.
