Have ACTUALLY read the book? And if bạn have, did bạn like it?

Yes I've read it way before I saw the musical and I absolutely loved it. Actually it's my yêu thích book! I cried for half an giờ when I was done because the end was so sad. I think everything about the novel is brilliant. It's so much deeper than the musical and I tình yêu Maguire's style! Plus Elphaba/glinda's relationship in the book is amazing, it's so hard to tell where exactly they stand, sometimes they are friends, sometimes they are way thêm than that (I loved the end of the một giây part! Gelphie Kiss ♥ :D). I like the fact that Maguire left a lot of room for interpretation.
I also tình yêu the other two sách of the series, Son of a Witch and A Lion Among Men. Sadly Elphie stays dead but somehow she's still omnipresent in the sách which is totally amazing!
I can't wait for the fourth book! :D

I actually did NOT like the book, like at all. I don't know, it just didn't catch me. I felt like the characters were too whiney and...not lovable, except Fiyero, and even that one was a stretch.
Just my opinion. My aunt loved the books, so to each her own I guess.

i read the book before the musical. I will admit that it's not my yêu thích book, and the musical was much better. I found the book rather draggy, and it had very little humor. The musical was much better. It added humor and i tình yêu the songs.

I had the Tied Musical Editon at home!

yes, i read it 2 years before i saw the play and have reread it twice since the first time. i just saw the play yesterday. anyway, i tình yêu the book!!! it's amazing, i'm about to get son of a witch and read that too, then a lion among men and theres another that has either just come out hoặc is coming out very soon this year, so i'll read that one too. it's really really really good book!!

Actually, I have, when I was like 12 years old. It was a very hard, inappropriate read. I like the musical a lot better. :)

I read the first chapter and blushed so hard that my face burned. Then I put it down and decided that I would wait another 8 years! (I read it when I was 12, btw)

I've read Wicked and Son of a Witch probably about 2 hoặc 3 times each. I've also read Lion among Men, and I own all three of the books.

I think they are very good, though I will admit there are parts where they drag. Wicked is probably my yêu thích of the three. It is obviously very different from the musical, but it is the same basic story (with different endings for most of the characters. Very young children should probably stick to the musical for now, because these are definately not children's books.

Well, I started đọc it about 4 days ago, a few days after I saw the musical. According to my kindle I've only read 24%, but I really tình yêu it so far

I read the book. It was pretty much the greatest book I've ever read. I read it non-stop for a while there :)
