Chapter three (hope bạn all like it)

“Oh hi Embry.” The beautiful vampire Bella đã đưa ý kiến in her sickly sweet voice. “Sorry to bother bạn but have bạn seen Jake anywhere?” She looked dead worried. I chuckled at the joke.
“Nope, sorry. Why don’t bạn go to Billy’s?” I leant on the door frame.
“I did. Billy đã đưa ý kiến he’d gone out somewhere.” She sighed “Maybe he’s just mad at me at the moment and ignoring me on purpose.” She looked upset.
I felt really awkward. “Do bạn want to come in? Maybe I can help.” I doubted that I could.
I showed her to the living room, and she perched on the old loveseat. I leant against the wall, feeling too uncomfortable to sit tiếp theo to her. She looked around the room. “Wow nice house Embry.” She trilled. I smiled awkwardly. “So anyway, Jake đã đưa ý kiến he’d come back to see Nessie after he’d eaten, but then he didn’t arrive. He’s never late to see Nessie. Y’know what it’s like with the imprinting stuff.” I nodded not meeting her eyes. She bit her lip “But before he left, I told him that we were taking Nessie on holiday with us. Edward and I are going on a tour of the world.” She smiled, as if she was remembering a happier time. “And we thought we’d take Nessie too. On a family holiday…” She looked down, before whispering “We thought she needed time away from Jake…” I bit my lip, trying to look at anything but Bella but my eyes just kept flicking to her.
“I’m sure he’s fine Bella. If bạn want I’ll try to find him, but I’m sure he’ll come back when he’s ready.” I slid my hands into my pockets and started for the door.
“Thank bạn Embry. I owe bạn big time!” She sung. Even if her voice was different, she was still so much like the old Bella.
I turned to wave before jogging out the door. Seth was easy to find, he was just down the road from my house taking his time to walk up the road.
Together we jogged to the edge of the forest and phased quickly and easily. With all the evening practice sessions me and Seth could phase back and forth as easily as Jake hoặc even Sam. Leah on the other hand still had to concentrate each time, which pissed her off even more.
As soon as we were wolves, I heard Jake somewhere to the north of us. He was running in a large loop, thinking about the trees and animals. I shuddered, that meant he had something seriously bad on his mind. Seth shot off to find him. I jogged after him not really trying; my stomach felt like it’d been threw a blender.
Jake! Jake! What’s wrong? Bella’s been looking all other for you, because bạn didn’t come back to… Seth began worriedly.
Seth. Jake’s thought was calm, but sounded commanding. Stop running. Phase back. I need to talk to Embry. Alone. Seth obeyed immediately. He knew something was very wrong; Jake never gave orders. Soon his mind disappeared. My stomach squeezed tighter. What was so bad that even Seth couldn’t know?
Hi Jake, bạn ok? My thought was strained and anxious.
He snorted, and replied angrily Oh yes I’m fine.
I swallowed loudly. What’s wrong?
I asked Seth to phase back, because it’s something personal, Embry. Personal to us two. He was moving again, fast this time. Towards where I was. A few giây later he was skidding to a stop tiếp theo to me. He turned to face me, his jaw set. Your mom came to visit Billy today.
I nodded.
