Jacob's POV

How can she be so stupid? Why is she risking her life? Why is she torturing me? Why won't she let me get her out of this place right now? Oh, that's right, she's Bella.
"Hello Isabella," I snapped my head up when Aro đã đưa ý kiến this. I almost forgot where we were. Great. I can't lose my focus now.

The only thing that kept me human was the knowledge that Bella was still behind me. She put her hand on my shoulder and told me to calm down.
"Calm down?" I barked sarcastically.
"Yes," she whispered.
"Calm down? Me calm down? That bloodsucker wants to suck the life out of bạn Bells! I'm not going to calm down!" I let a growl rip through my teeth after I đã đưa ý kiến this. I was about to phase when Alice stepped in between Aro and I. I looked to Bella's face and I saw sheer horror there. "Well bạn aren't getting a fight," Alice hissed at me. I didn't say anything. I looked to see Aro looking at Bella. Pain ripped through me. But for some reason I wasn't trembling. I saw his blood red eyes. Aro looked like he was about to say something but I pulled Bella behind me. Her hands are shaking. So she is scared. Now. When it's too late to run away. And how in the world am I supposed to comfort her and attack Aro at the same time? I didn't do either. I just stood there like a moron. It felt like ages before anyone đã đưa ý kiến anything. "Aro's gift is sort of like Edward's, but different," She started,"Edward can read anyone's current thoughts, from a short distance,"Except for Bella's. But Aro, his gift is that if he touches you, he knows every single thought that ever went through your head. He even knows Bella's thoughts. And he read her mind this morning," Alice explained.
"He did? He can read my mind? Then why can't Edward?" Bella asked from behind me.
"Bella we don't know why that is," Alice đã đưa ý kiến to her.

"Yeah?" Alice said. I ignored her and spoke to Aro.

"It's still a risk," Aro said.
"You know as well as she does that she won't ever expose your secret. Isn't that good enough?" I said.
"Well, we'll have to check up often to make sue she hasn't changed her mind," Aro said. His tone gave away that he was really undecided.
"How often?" I asked.
"Once every six months I suppose," he said. I sighed.
"Aro that really won't be necessary," Alice said.

"Positive, I can see if she ever decides to expose us. Then I can stop her. But that much won't even be necessary, anyway," Alice said. "Charlie will be trang chủ in two minutes," Alice added on.

"I have to go! Charlie will be here soon! Bye!" Alice said, and in a flash, she was gone too. I finally turned around to look at Bella. She looked like she'd just seen a ghost.

She nodded and robotically went to open the door. Being a lone with her right now might prove to be difficult. I'm not the best at comforting. Right when I thought this, Charlie pulled in the driveway. That is probably a lot thêm difficult then being alone with her. That meaning, Charlie will probably think that I made her look like this. Crap.
