He is a bit thêm mature than most as he has carlisle...but i dont think (and this has been expressed bởi stephenie and others)that he is emotionally decades older than bella, for those reasons and so its less creepy--jacob printing on renesmee was way creepier

Bella was 17 when they met. the "age difference" might have been big but that doesnt make him a pedophile. Jacob and his imrpint on a new born baby, well, that is a whole other story, disturbing on sooooo many different levels

No, I don't. And most people will say Jacob is the peado cos he imprinted on a child. But I blame Stephenie for that, imprinting is not something they have control over.

Edward as a person isn't "frozen" at 17, only his physical body. Theoretically, someone who has lived as long as he has should be extremely emotionally mature. The difference in emotional maturity is what makes pedophilia wrong, because the younger is easy prey. Though Edward isn't as mature as he should be, there is still a predator-prey relationship that I think makes it immoral for Edward to pursue her.
