Because they couldnt find a better Bella. She's pefect for the role. Without her Twilight wouldn't be the same. Cant bạn just see how well they go together in the story and in real life.

I personally think they chose Kristen because Catherine Hardwicke directed the first movie, and to me Kristen is the kind of actress bạn see in alot of Catherine's movies. Also, this was around the time when Kristen was getting recognition for "Into the Wild".
I dont think Kristen is a bad Bella, but I agree that she was not the best choice. I would have like to have seen Emily Browning, who they say was Stephanie Meyers' first choice, but we got Kristen, and I dont think she is too bad.
