Why do people hate Bella? [Kristen for some but for others, just Bella in paticular?

This is a great câu hỏi :) With all the guy talk, we never really focus on and analyze the female characters.

The sách are written from her point of view. Every thought, every movement it's there. It's all on the table. And we see what she does, the right hoặc wrong thing to do. The most honest character in a sense that she can't lie to us because it's all being written down. (i don't know if that makes sense)

People say she whines and is critical, but aren't we all like that? In our thoughts? People just don't know because we don't allow them to see. But since her story is being written as she was thinking it, how could we possibly judge Bella?

People hate Bella because she doesn't know what she has. 1, 2, 5 guys attracted to her, even though she's an average girl. Edward and Jacob fighting over her. People that care for her: her human family, the tribe at La Push, and her Cullen family. She's selfish and she uses some of them. But... aren't we all selfish? Don't we use things, things that we aren't even aware of, to get what we desire?

Another reason I think people hate Bella is because they see alot of themselves in her. Traits, maybe not even to our knowledge, she possess that also belong to us. I can be obsessive sometimes (exhibit A: Twilight), I can be selfish sometimes, I can whine sometimes. I do alot of what Bella does.

She may not be a typical teenager and has a screw loose, but she has good traits too. Granted, I hate some of the things Bella does. Some of them out of character and completely and utterly wrong. But what's a character without some flaws? People focus on the bad because it's easy to criticize. It's easy to zoom in on the bad and blow it up and point fingers. However, Bella does has some qualities that should be recognized. bạn just have to look a little harder for them.

EDIT: Oh, and if people are going bởi the movies, then I don't think their conclusion of Bella is very accurate. Because, with each book adaption, things are Mất tích in translation. Whether the emotion of the book, character development, plot, etc. And for most of the Twilight movies, I can say that the emotion of the book and the character development have been lost. Bella is not the same. Edward is not the same. Jacob is definitely not the same. The movie characters are different than the book characters. If people truly want to understand the characters, they need to read the books. That's the main source. :)

People hate Bella because they believe she "whines".Because Bella is stuck in a difficult situation(Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn).And where she deals with a lot of emotional stuff throughout it, like her feelings between Edward and Jacob, whether she wants to be a human hoặc vampire.

People assume she is whiney.They also say that Bella doesn't have a mind, and that's why Edward can't read it.If people actually read the books, they would know Bella doesn't think about Edward all the time.

I agree with missing_99....people think she's whiny ...which I never got from the story...to me the main problem with Bella is that she worried and put others above herself all the time... she didnt have self worth...but on the flip side of that...she loved and cared so much about the people in her life that she was willing to give her life for them..more than once. She fully accepted those around her no matter what their "species" ...that alone screams 'role model'...She made it ok to be average and clumsy ....I loved Bella.

My opinion..... I think people (especialy girls) hate Bella because she ends up with Edward. An everybody wants Edward ;)
