Jonathan is too young, too handsome and too slim to seem the real Henry VIII.
Richard Burton is already fat and old when he plays a Henry who meets Anne Boleyn; we know instead that Henry began to be fat since his third wedding: before, he was known as "the most beautiful prince of Europe".
Eric Bana is perfect: when he meets Anne Boleyn, he isn't too young, but he's still a handsome man, like Henry is described to be at that time.

For me Eric Bana was too wooden. I'm sorry to say that but he wasn't my cup of tea. Burton wasn't bad, but out of the 3 JRM was my favourite. I know he was too young for the role but buggar that, he did a good job in the role, even making me feel sorry for Henry once in a while (not an easy task when you think about the part he plays). Honestly, I'd say my favourite portrayal would be Ray Winstone in 'Henry VIII' (2003). And I know he had the wrong accent that people moaned a lot about, but ignoring his accent I thought he played the part really well. He came across as arrogant and bullheaded, but he also showed this likable side to the character that could draw in an audience with his funny anecdotes and gave the impression that you could see why people liked him. He also didn't seem as clueless as JRM's king, occasionally hinting to Cromwell and others that he knew what they were up to and taking pleasure in seeing them squirm, showing he wasn't stupid, but a shrewd man who knew what was going on in his kingdom.

I didn't care about Eric Bana in The Other Boleyn Girl tbh. I know JRM looks nothing like real Henry, but I really love his acting <3 I LOVE Anne of the Thousand Days, and Richard Burton was pretty good too.
