I pulled into the driveway with all the windows and doors locked. Mom's Corvette was parked in my spot, so I parked tiếp theo to it. Unlocking the door, I slowly stepped onto the gravel in my beat up sneakers; grabbing my bag before I shut and locked the door. I walked into the front entrance of my house to find my mom and Dylan on the couch. “Mom, I'm home.” I đã đưa ý kiến loud enough for both of them to hear.
“Oh, uh hi dear. How was your day?” My mom asked be as she got up from the couch, patting her frizzy hair down and straightening her shirt. “Dylan was going to stay for dinner. We brought Chinese food.”
“Good thing bạn bought thực phẩm because the cupboards are bare. bạn really need to go grocery shopping.” I shrugged out of my áo khoác and placed my bag on the end table.
“Yes, I was meaning to go shopping, but then I ran into Dylan and we got to talking. He bought us lunch, then we went to his âm nhạc studio in the tiếp theo town. How about we go eat. bạn look like you're starving.”
We went into the dining room where a big paper bag was waiting. I opened it and smelled the contents. “Yum, we haven't had this in a while.” I said. The truth was, we hadn't had Chinese thực phẩm since mom brought trang chủ Jackson, her trước đó boyfriend. My mom took the thực phẩm out of the bag, while I got some plates. Dylan was behind my mom's already pulled out chair, waiting for her to take a seat. She took a ghế, chỗ ngồi and thanked him. I took my usual ghế, chỗ ngồi on the opposite side of the bàn and Dylan sat beside my mom. “So, Julie, what grade are bạn in now? Grade 11? 12?” Dylan asked me as he passed the rice.
“I'm in grade 11.”
“Are bạn interested in music? Because, as bạn now know, I own the âm nhạc studio in East Wood.”
“I've played the đàn ghi ta, guitar and drums since I was 7 if that counts.” Just then, I got a text. I pulled my phone out of my back pocket and flipped it open. It was from Brett:
“They know where bạn are. See bạn soon.”
What was wrong with this guy? Was he trying to freak me out? 'Cause it was working. “What's wrong?” my mom saw the look on my face.
“Nothing.” I put my phone back in my pocket and continued eating.
After the dishes were done and Dylan was gone, I went to my room and sat on the edge of the bed. I opened my phone and texted Sophie.
“Hey, what's new?”
I waited for a response. But got none. That wasn't like her, when I texted her it was a matter of phút before she replied. I got up and walked over to the window. Throwing open the silk curtain, I let the cool breeze flow through my hair. I was enjoying the calming air when I noticed something in the bushes. I squinted to get a better look, but all I could make out was a large black shape with glowing yellow eyes. What is that? I turned around to look for a flashlight and when I turned back, it was gone.

Chapter 6
Okay, so were was I last time before I got hurt? Oh right now I remember. So battling demons, to be honest it scares the living soul out of me. Pretty much that's what those evil things are after. Alright your probably thinking what in the world is she talking about, She was hurt! Yes I realize that. I am just going to give bạn some info about those ugly things. Okay.
Rule 1-Never try to reason with them. That's just stupid and they will take your soul.
Rule 2-Please don't look into there eyes! If bạn do let's just say bạn will be sorry.
Rule 3-Always have a wepon.
Rule 4-Don't and I mean don't let them ever sneak up on you. You'll be a goner.
Rule 5 last rule- Never have a really hot guy helping bạn trying to fight these things. bạn will be focused on him! Not the demon!
That's why I blame Nick. Damn why did he have to be so darn hot.
I open my eyes and lucky me. Guess who's hovering over me? A demon.

Lots to blog about. Today was interview day. The principal made all 8th graders go through a mock interview for the experience. We had to dress appropriate and respectable. I wore a tight black and grey dress with a black thắt lưng, vành đai above the waist with black wedges. My interview guy was this old fart whose wrinkles hid his emotions. His face was so wrinkled that I couldn't tell whether he was smiling, frowning, hoặc laughing. I think my interview went okay. When I got back with my vòng tròn of friends, they told me how their interviewers were complimenting them and saying how much they loved this resumes and cover letters. He didn't say anything nice hoặc mean. He did however joke with me. In other glorious news, Kyle took me out for ice cream. How cool is that?! He had Sô cô la and I had vanilla. We sat and talked. It was just the two of us. bởi tiếp theo week, Kyle will surely be my boyfriend.
