Winx Club Winx ★ Live-Action Actors Contest ★ Round 8 (January 5th-8th)

Hey everyone!

I don't know if any other spot has tried this before, but I just got the idea. What it is, is that there will be a theme (A character) chosen for each round. You will then choose the actor/actress that best fits the character chosen. Then a poll will be made and whoever the fans think suits that character best, will be chosen. After all is said and done, there will be an article made describing the choices--so please leave comments! Like my previous contest, a poll will be made so you can choose which character will be the theme of the next round.

Now, of course, like all contests, there are rules you must follow:

-Please do not choose anyone involved in inappropriate activities. (AKA porn stars, exotic dancers)

-If you choose a singer and they have been provocative at one point or another during their career, I will be a little on the fence about this. But, if what they done isn't too bad, then I will let them be chosen.

-Please give at least a 1-2 sentenced answer as to why you chose this person for the specific character.

-Do not mock or make fun of what other users have chosen. Doing so will result in banning from the competition.

-Do not pick/vote for yourself in the pick. Doing so will result in banning from the competition.

-Do not post vulgar images of the person chosen. Doing so will result in banning from the competition.

Who I choose: Felicia Day

Why I chose her: Felicia is just a really fun and adorable person. She usually plays roles which have strong, naive but brave characters. I first saw her in "Supernatural" and she was this adorably geeky-girl who helped bring down these monsters. I've never seen her in a "leading" sort of role, but I think she can stand out and make whatever role she plays awesome. I might even like Bloom more if Felicia ever played her in a live-action film ;P

I hope you don't mind, I did go with the singer option. I chose Simone Simons. She has released 2 DVD's. Again, hope you don't mind, let me know I need to choose someone else.

I chose her because I feel like her looks match up really well; curly red hair, blue eyes. I can totally see her taking on a leader type role as she is the lead singer in Epica. She also sings shiz that reminds me of saving the world.

Why-She sings well alike Bloom's position in the band. Plus,she that matches Bloom's hair and she is very upbeat and cheery much alike Bloom. Bella is very headstrong and is a great leader and possesses many characters well.

Why?
She may not be a red-head, but personality wise I think she and Bloom are very alike.
1. She can sing fairly well. Bloom nor Victoria are the best singers. But they both can sing at the same level.
2. They have they're moments. By this I mean, we all know Bloom can act so "fake" or not up to their full potential. Same with VJ?
3. Finally, they both are nice but can be bossy and take charge when un called for.

I like Alejandra Reynoso because she is my favorite winx actor, and she plays as Flora. As the fairy of nature, I find Alejandra is a very good actor and has to be very soft when she speaks. I find her sooooooooo lucky! I first saw her in a winx club doll package. I wish I was a winx!

Who I chose: Alecia Moore (P!nk)

Why I chose them: P!nk is really kind a really strong person and is very unique. I always drawn to P!nk--not only because of her voice, but because her attitude and own ideas. She knows when life gets tough, because she's experienced it. You can relate to her songs, and I think Tecna can relate to her no-nonsense attitude and even her hard past. Tecna's father has always been hard on her, and she's even pushed around and bullied. I can see P!nk relating to that easily, and being a very good Tecna.

Why you ask?

I choose Tina Fey because her role on 50 rock ( a show on CW50 If you don't know.) Makes her seem very smart, just like Tecna. she has a nice personality Just like Tecna. And She she can be funny at times, just like who? Just like Tecna. :)

Why:Miley has short hair similar to Tecna and is quite witty like Tecna. Miley is very knowledgable and has a lovely personality similar to Tecna. She grew up with her dad and went through troubled times ,which is like Tecna's unknown background we never know much. We never here much of Tecna. Miley is very serious at times too.

I hope she is accepted after all those RUMORS about her circling about what she does.

I actually really have no clue who to pick for this one so I went based mostly on looks; Jessica Chastain.
She was in the horror movie Mama and I swear she's the one not ditzy, dumb, and bimbo-ish horror movie woman. She actually did her research and got shit done. I think she'd make a good Tecna.

Who I chose: Tarja Turunen

Why I chose her: Tarja was the leader of a very successful band, Nightwish, and was very great at it too. She lead the band and her voice is what brought their thousands of fans. Sadly, she got fired, but that didn't stop her! She became a solo artist and was released three albums so far, all of which are very popular. Tarja has a tenacious spirit and doesn't give up--like Icy. (As seen with her re-bound in music) They might have opposite personalities, but I'm pretty sure Tarja can be firm and nasty when needs be ;)

Lana Parrilla (I couldn't not choose her at least once)

I choose her because she has played a witch before (in Once) she's good at playing cruel unkind characters. Her character in Once is very cold-hearted and sarcastic and sassy as hell. Lighten her a hair a little...a lot and they look similar. And unlike some voice actresses, Parrilla has the right voice for her. Parrilla is also amazing with facial expressions she's able to portray anger without even frowning. As her character is a queen she just has that arrogant posture suitable for Icy's character.

Manuela Kraller.

You can see she is very fierce and determined just by her appearance. I can tell a nasty,sarcastic and prideful character could easily be portrayed by her. Manuela says everything with her body language,she can make you feel for a character. Manuela can be very sassy and wicked if she wants too. Her look seems so scary on the pic I chose too.

Who I chose: Aidan Turner

Why I chose them: This was a little difficult for me. I definitely know more actress' than actors, so I had to think a bit for this one. I decided that I was going to go with Aidan Turner. I first saw him was in "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Adventure" and I thought he was rather adorable. He was goofy, but he was also serious and a really good fighter. (With both bow and sword) He's played heroics before, so I'm sure he can make a good Brandon.

I'm gonna go old school and pick Drake Bell as he in the show Drake and Josh (obviously) he played himself as this 'good-looking', macho, ladies man type guy. He was the 'smooth' and not so bright one, always gets 'the hot babes'! And I sort of see these qualities in Brandon. He is also similar appearance wise, pre-facial hair that is.

Zac is similar to Brandon appearance wise I think from the hair to the clothes and such. Zac is best known as Troy in high school musical where he played an athlete ,which I think Brandon is like. I find both personality's very bubbly. Then in season 4 Mitzi likes Brandon ,but he likes Stella ,so a love triangle and in High School Muiscal that was happening. Sharpay liked Troy ,but Troy liked Gabriella. I think they face the same issues. Also, I think both can be a bit of a player love wise and has girl falling at their feet. Brandon-Mitzi,Stella and Amentia. Troy-Sharpay and Gabriella.

Who I chose: Richard Armitage

Why I chose him: Richard is a great actor. He is good at playing villains, or heroes. He can be dark, demented and exude strength and authority, but then be an adorable little shit. He's very fit, and I can see him being the dark, brooding wizard who just takes what he wants, without looking back. (Reminds me of how he played Guy of Gisborne) I'm sure he could be as cunning as Valtor was--always lying to Bloom about the fate of her parents. He lied a lot, and got rather good at it for the role of Lucas North. His voice is also--agh. Beautiful, and I think he could voice Valtor well. (In the 4kids version, it had an accent and was pretty and smooth so, Richard's voice fits) I know he doesn't have the long hair, but it's called a wig. I think he'd be perf guys though, seriously.

I chose Timothy Hutton
Why? Well he plays the "Mastermind" On one of my favorite shows Leverage. Valtor was kind of a mastermind himself getting the box and the minions and messing with the winx and what not. He has a breaking point or a downside like Timothy does in the Show. So they're both Masterminds but both have breaking points. And they both have a crew Timothy has the hacker, theif, hitter, and con artist. And valtor had the trix.

I chose Mark Jansen of Epica (hope you don't mind) as he looks a lot like Valtor with that long hair and that goatee. He's also pretty badass personality wise. He provides both the guitar (pretty sure Valtor's theme was on the guitar) he also provides the growls in the group and I think that would be effective in portraying Valtor's character. He is a pretty intimidating looking guy. And because of his bands theme I could relate him more to topics like world domination and magic. And also he's pretty frreakin' sexy like Valtor.

Who:Hugh Jackman(with long hair,like in Van Helsing)
Why:He played Van Helsing and you can see he can be this mysterious,cool bad guy. His look is so original. I find Hugh can easily portray characters by using body language. Hugh is all about attitude,the clothes,the lines everything. One look could annoy you,very easily Valtor gets on your nerves. The look. The magical genre so in the movie so that is sorted. He seems so in control too. Very evil just by having the right costume as you can see.

I'm gonna go with Robert Carlyle.

Well mainly because of his character in Once, I can see him as an amazing Valtor portrayer. He mainly acts as a villain in the series; who's very manipulative and Valtor is as well. Robert is very talented and knows how to play characters which are described like Valtor—evil, edgy, cunning. He has played as a character which possesses dark magic and a deal-maker. Valtor himself has dark magic, even though he's not a deal-maker. Robert is also an intimidating-looking type of guy, and Valtor is as well. Just tell him to put on a long wig light pink colored and magenta-colored coat and I bet he would look like Valtor.

Who I chose: Lady GaGa (Stefani Joanne Angelina Germonatta)

Why I chose her: GaGa is someone that stands up for what she believes in, just like Mirta, not matter the consequences. She believes in herself, but has had to deal with bumps along the road. GaGa was bullied a lot, like Mirta, so she could relate to the treatment. GaGa also kind of has Mirta's style since she wears whatever she wants, and Mirta's clothes have always been unique to me. (Just like GaGa's) GaGa is also really sweet and kind, just like Mirta. I think she's be a great Mirta. I think she'd look good with the hair-style below or the one link

Why?

I have selected her because her role as Tinka Hessenheffer on the Disney Channel show "Shake it up". Despite the fact that she was very odd personality wise, she still stood out wearing her very sparkly or neon or completely sequined outfits or whatever while everyone else (excluding her brother who dressed the same way) dressed casually. Mirta stood out at cloud tower by being nice, friendly and bubbly while everyone else was rather mean and cold. I found this a nice option and said, why not?

Why I chose her: Even though a lot of people have been making fun of what she looks like...*sweats nervously* But after re-watching "Hocus Pocus" I can really see her being Stella. The sister she played was ditzy, the most beautiful and always payed attention to boys and flirted with them. I mean, link pretty much shouts Stella sometimes.

I chose Ashley Tisdale because she has played both the snobby Sharpay (from HSM) and the sweet and funny Maddie (from Suite Life). I see Stella almost as a combination of these two; she's snobby and rich and spoiled. But she's still a kind caring person, who has her moments of comic relief. Ashley is familiar with playing both of these roles and I feel she can blend them well.

Why:Ashley for one looks like Stella. For two, Ashley started her own fashion line and that shows how into fashion she is like Stella. Another thing is,Ashley appeared in many movies meaning she loves the spotlight. As well,in Two Of A Kind she was the girly one who liked lots of boys similar to Stella. Then,like Stella she likes boys and Ashley has a boyfriend. Then,Mary Kate(her sister) is the total opposite of Ashley which is like Stella and Musa. Why I chose her:

1. Her fabulous hair
2. She is fabulous--okay lemme start.
3. The most notable role she's probably known for is Bellatrix Lestrange from the "Harry Potter" series (Or Miss Lovette from "Sweeney Todd". She was also Madame Therdardier in "Les Miserables"). Bella's character is very similar to Stormy's. She has a wild attitude, tends to lose her cool and is quite sadistic. Stormy's sadism probably isn't as noticeable as Bella's, but witches obviously get pleasure in tormenting/hurting fairies--the Trix especially when it comes to defeating the Winx. I think Helena would do a great job.

lol I know who I'm voting for. Helena was my ideal actress for Stormy too. So I guess I'll go with my second choice; Alaina Marie Beaton. She's actually a singer but she has a very rough scratchy voice that reminds me of Stormy's. Her songs remind me very much of Stormy's personality. Like her song gasoline is about having an explosive temper. And her song King of the World, well that one speaks for itself. She's pretty badarse like Stormy.
