I am so happy to see Katherine again!!! It was great to see her again in the show. By the way she was acting it seemed like she has been watching them for months. That is the only way that she could have known that they were going after the cure. But I don't get why she would want it. I don't see her wanting to take the cure, she has so many enemies she would be dead within minutes. Also I am not at all happy with her that she got Jeremy killed. He is one of my all time favorite characters and now he is officially dead and can't come back. This is not okay. So I am not that happy to see Katherine, why couldn't she have killed Bonnie?? Wouldn't have cared about that happening. Anyway, I am surprised that she is back but happy to see what is going to happen with her.

To me the show started off as a girl who was the doppelganger of a vampire. I think it's necessary for Kathrine to be in the story. I was thrown off when she wasn't on for nearly a season.
My guess for her wanting the cure is she could use it on one of her enemies or she wants Silas alive for some reason. Perhaps because he's powerful and could fight off her enemies?
I don't think she killed Jeremy. And, I do agree she might have been watching them for months, but if she had she would know Jeremy was a hunter. Hunter's curse would be effecting her if he dies. In the preview for the next ep, Elena says he isn't dead yet, which gives me hope he'll pull through. When he was "killed" I was practically crying at the screen "TELL ME HE'S WEARING HIS RING!" He wasn't though. :(

He was wearing his ring I saw it early on in the episode, but he is now a supernatural being because he is a vampire hunter so the ring won't work on him. So he is dead unless they find another dumb way to bring him back. I also hated that Katherine wasn't in the show for almost a whole season I love her. But Nina needed a break from playing two characters at once. And yeah she isn't the one who broke Jeremy's neck but it's her fault he died.

Crazy bitch queen Katherine is back, on the loose and with the cure in her hands. I can't wait to see her again.

As for the ring it won't work on supernatural beings and considering he is a hunter i doubt it will work if aren't exactly a human

I KNEW she was the one who was watching them (well, I also thought about Elijah. Once again, WHERE is he?!)! I'm so incredibly happy she's back, it's been far too long since we last saw her. I can't wait to know why she wants the cure, maybe she wants to use it on Klaus? It would make sense...

Don't get me wrong, I love Katherine and I do believe we're in for an awesome storyline. I'm just too upset over Jeremy right now that I can't even appreciate the fact she's back. :(
