Thought the concept sounded like a bad idea, and I didn't want to see it. Now I KNOW the concept sounds like a bad idea, and I STILL don't want to see it.

Actually, some of the music is pretty good. But methinks they need a better lyricist.

The plot is awful, though, and if I did see it, I wouldn't pay more than 80 bucks for tickets. Hopefully it'll flop before it reaches Broadway, or *shudder* tours.

It sounds very interesting, so I am looking forward to giving it a try when it does come out. Good thing I live close by NYC.

I'll probably watch it on DVD but I'm too far away to go and see it live. If I wanted to see a live show I'd go to the original again. The reviews don't bother me either way. Do I think it will be great? No. But I'm curious and I can always turn it off if I hate it. I really don't mind all the squeals and different renditions of the story (I'm a terrible fan aren't I?) I guess since I don't really compare them to each other and I most certainly don't compare them to the novel the majority of them can't let me down if they have a decent plot and good music (if music is involved) I'm picky about music though. If I didn't like Ramin so much I probably wouldn't trust it. It's hard for me to see a real phantom in the flesh and it NOT be Ramin. I adore him.
