“Well, are bạn going to answer it?” Anna asked the pale faced Marissa
“Nope, and Seth I thought bạn đã đưa ý kiến she wasn’t getting here until Friday.” Marissa whispered
“She’s not, but I think she’s staying with a friend in L.A.” Seth đã đưa ý kiến as he held onto the still ringing cell phone.
“Here, I’ll answer it for you.” Anna đã đưa ý kiến as she grabbed the cell phone away from Seth and answered it, stopping the voice immediately.
“What the hell are bạn doing?!!” Marissa screamed as she tackled Anna to the ground “Give me my phone!”
Anna fell backwards as Marissa scrambled to pick up her cell that had slid across the hall. She grabbed it, her hands rather sore. (Her cuts are still healing). She put the phone up to her ear and with a shaky voice said
“Hello?”
“Marissa?” came the kind and familiar voice of Hailey.
“Yea.” Marissa đã đưa ý kiến as she walked back over to Seth and Anna who had bởi that time rejoined Seth at his locker.
“Hailey?” Seth asked Marissa as she leaned against her jammed locker.
Marissa nodded, not hiển thị a bit of happiness at the mention.
“So...how are you?” Hailey asked, trying to make conversation
*How am I? How am I? What do bạn think?!* Marissa’s thoughts raged
“Okay I guess.....look I have to go.” Marissa đã đưa ý kiến hurriedly before she hung up.
She slumped against the lockers with a sigh.
“You okay?” Seth tried to comfort Marissa
“Leave me alone.” Marissa mumbled as she got up and walked out of Harbor.

Marissa dialed Volchek’s number and told him to come and pick her up so that she could go and get her car. They arrived at Marissa’s trailer in less than 10 and she drove her car back to Volchek’s place, getting out and following him into his apartment. (If bạn could even call his place an apartment? It looks thêm like a shack to me hoặc maybe even a garage?)
Volchek took a ghế, chỗ ngồi on the đi văng and Marissa did the same.
“You okay? bạn seem kinda down.” Volchek đã đưa ý kiến as he took the last drag from his cigarette before putting it out.
“No thêm talking.” Marissa đã đưa ý kiến as she leaned over Volchek and took a small container of cô ca from his front áo sơ mi pocket.
“Here, let me help bạn with that.” Volchek đã đưa ý kiến as he twisted off the cap....
