Mufasa's ghost: [from above] Simba.
Adult Simba: Father?
Mufasa's ghost: [apears among the stars] Simba, you have forgotten me.
Adult Simba: No. How could I?
Mufasa's ghost: You have forgotten who you are and so have forgotten me. Look inside yourself, Simba. You are more than what you have become. You must take your place in the Circle of Life.
Adult Simba: How can I go back? I'm not who I used to be.
Mufasa's ghost: Remember who you are. You are my son, and the one true king. Remember...

3; Adult Simba: She's wrong. I can't go back. What would it prove anyway? You can't change the past. You said you'd always be there for me. But you're not. It's because of me. It's my fault.


4; Mufasa: Yes. So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you. And so will I.

5; Adult Simba: Well, somebody once told me that the great kings of the past are up there, watching over us.
Pumbaa: Really?
Timon: You mean a bunch of royal dead guys are watching us?

6; Scar: Run away Simba... Run away, and never return.


7; Mufasa: Scar! Brother, help me!
[Scar puts his claws into Mufasa's paws]
Scar: Long live the King.



8; Young Simba: Dad, dad come on, you gotta get up. Dad, we gotta go home. Help! Somebody, anybody... No...

wow the lion king has made me really sad after watching it... all these quotes are sad to me but this one makes mee goo aww cause the way its seen and stuff + number 3!! the way he screams out "you said you always be there for me!!!" i was like :[

Aww.. This was sooo sad!

and 8, of course

[Mufasa's face fading away] "...Remember who you are. Rememeber...remember..."
Simba: "...No! Please! Don't leave me...! Father! ...Don't leave me..."[/i]

Of course it's not the dialog alone but seeing to the situation and the background story.

And of course a bit earlier, Simba's "That's not my father. It's just my reflection." (Plus Rafiki's "Noooo... Look harder. You see - he lives in you.")

And of course the number 8 with all the desperate: "Dad, you gotta get up. Dad! We gotta go home." [pulls Mufasa's ear like he used to and then realises it's in vain, and looks lost] "Heeeeey!" [echo] "Somebody! ...Anybody...?" [first sob] "...Help..."

Even though that's what sometimes manages to make me weep while my pick never does, I still really pick that Mufasa's ghost thing. It's after all the final straw in the saddness rank. If I start to imagine how I would feel if I got to see and talk to my years ago passed away sister like that and then realize I can't keep her.

Aww.. This was sooo sad!

"Dad? Dad c'mon. You gotta get up! Dad we gotta go home! HEEEEELP!!!! SOMEBODY! ANYBODY...help.." i always cry at this scene

Dad?Dad c'mon. You gotta get up! Dad we gotta go home!"

"Dad you gotta get up, Dad. we gotta go home." "HELP!" "Somebody! Anybody!" (cries)

This was the saddest part of the movie.period

The thing that stood out to me the most in this scene was the voice acting. James Earl Jones did a fantastic job.

"you gotta get up. C'mon dad, we gotta go home. Get up. (sniffle) HELP! Somebody! anybody... help."
