Why is it called the HUNGER Games if the main focus of the Games is not really hunger?

Well, hunger is a main part in the arena... most people die from hunger hoặc lack of water, because bạn need to know your resources. Because part of being weak and powerless is being deprived (by the Capitol) of food, and having to survive. It has nothing to do with what happens during the games, it's about how after, if bạn win these games, bạn never go hungry for the rest of your life. Who's point of view is the book from? Katniss. Has she been hungry all her life? Yes. What is she really fighting for? Yes, Prim & Rue but also for food. That's what everyone is fighting for. The lifetime of glory, power, money and FOOD.

I think it was stated in the book that which ever district won the "Hunger Games" would be supplied with grain for the year, and the losers would carry on living in starvation.
