Finally, the leaders of Thirteen decide to go rescue Peeta, after realizing the guilt Katniss's feels is impeding her role in becoming, "the Mockingjay." After the rescue it is discovered that Peeta has been brainwashed into believing Katniss is the enemy and tries to strangle her upon their reunion in District 13.

Katniss has been rescued bởi the District 13 rebels. They have been plotting for years to overthrow the capital, and they are lead bởi the power hungry, and cynical president Coin. Katniss agrees to become the symbol of freedom and rebellion. She is known as the "Mockingjay". The rebels gain ground bởi conquering Panem, district bởi district. In the midst of the rebellion, Katniss finds herself conflicted over her feelings for Peeta and Gale. Peeta has been brainwashed bởi the Capitol and Katniss must bring him back. Katniss and her crew flee into the Capitol with the goal of killing President Snow. Snow's mansion is filled with children who are supposedly seeking shelter there, but are really there to safeguard them. The rebels placed bombs in packages delivered to these children. Many of them are killed, including Katniss's sister Primrose who was part of the medical crew. Katniss is driven almost insane with grief. They capture President Snow and Katniss was được trao the privilege of executing him. He tells her that President Coin was the one that initiated the bombs that killed her sister. She tries to live everyday of her life remembering the loving and kind things people have done, and to not let the memory of the games bring her down forever.

Katniss has just broken out of the 75 hunger games with Haymitch, Finnick,and Plutarch. District 12 has been bombed but Gale saved a lot of people before they are bombed. Katniss agrees to be the Mockingjay, the face of the rebellion. Peeta was captured bởi the Capital. Throuout the book they train and go to other districts to get Katniss on camera. Katniss is with a group of other people including Peeta Gale Finnick Boggs and some other people. They make their way to the Capital to kill President Snow. Katniss sees Prim die and the Rebels take over the Capital. Katniss realizes that Coin killed Prim with the bomb and Katniss kills Coin instead of Snow. Mockinjay is basically when Katniss decides she will be the Mockingjay and they start the real rebellion. During the book Katniss is slipping deeper into insanity.District 13 rescue Peeta from the Capitol to find out he has been brainwashed and he tries to kill Katniss but he fights through it with his tình yêu for Katniss. Prim dies and Katniss choosed Peeta over Gale. Katniss and Peeta have two kids one boy and one girl.

That is my quick summary of the third HG book, Mockingjay.

This năm is the Quell Games, which is basically a hyped up version of The Hunger Games that happens every twenty-five years. At the end of that, Katniss destroys the force field holding them in the stadium and learns that Hymaitch had arranged with the other tributes that they would all escape. Though Katniss is amoung about five that get picked up bởi Hymaitch and taken to the supposed destroyed Distruct 13, Peeta had been captured bởi the Capitol. Gale also tells her that there is no longer a District 12 and that there are only a few survivors including her family.
