Has anyone else heard about the racist statements?

I completely agree, I read the bài viết on Yahoo! and I thought that it was ridiculous. I loved the actress they picked for Rue and the people who made these các bình luận obviously haven't read the sách becase when Katniss is discribing Rue and Thresh in book one and district 11 in book two she mentions thier darker skin, and according to Collins district 11 is located in the deep south, even if they're caucasian people they'd be super tan because they work outside all day.

i TOTALLY agree with you! even though i didn't picture Cinna like that, he was still really portrayed well! Lenny Kravitz did a really good job as him. and Rue and Thresh were perfect too! i don't get why people would make those racist comments... it's just mean in general, they shouldn't be paying attention to that, they should be paying attention to the great movie and actors in it.

I honestly don't think it's racist. I mean I though the african american actors in the movie did an amazing job! But for some people they pictured the black actors as another race. I always pictured Cinna white not black and was a little dissapointed with who played him(even though he was an awsome Cinna!)

I think they are ridiculous, even though it is weird because some of my Những người bạn đã đưa ý kiến it was pretty racist how everyone in District 11 was black. When the book described Rue as "Dark-Skinned" my Những người bạn thought tan so I guess they were kind of shocked. But it definately did NOT ruin the movie. The actors/actresses were perfect and I loved Cinna, Thresh, and Rue!

Racist! How dare they! I think everyone was portrayed wonderfully! The people saying racist things are really just being ignorant. It adds thêm realism to the movie, if everyone was white then would that really look like our actual future?
