tracytracy2000 ^ agreed and you know the subtitle Percy is back maybe it will have more percy then I thought... (it better) but I dont really get the story behind the cover at least in the us cover you can come up with theories better than this one

HecateA a) England is not a weird country b) Maybe the romans DID give Percy a hair cut! Jason ahd close-cropped hair... c) The line will make people who don't read internet forums like this or sample chapters go 'WHAT THE HADES OMG PERCY!' (even if they'd get it anyways, because who reads Lost Hero and doesn't want to get the next one?) d) At least for 'The Lost Hero' we got some theories. All we know now is that the gorgons will DEFINETELY come back (I sort of guessed before, but...)

LeoV44 @Hecate a) I'm sure the people who have posted so far didn't mean that the country was weird. Just the cover. It looks to me like computer graphics, unlike the US one where it's an actual drawing by the cover artist John Rocco. b) If the Romans did give him a haircut, that wouldn't explain why he has long hair in the US cover. Maybe they did give him a haircut and maybe John Rocco, the cover artist for the US cover, just made him have long hair to make the cover more appealing. Who knows? (RR) c) That's true. Although if I were a new reader that hadn't read the Lost Hero or the Percy Jackson series yet, this cover wouldn't persuade me to go read them. The US cover would definitely have a better shot at that. Though I see what you're getting at. d) Yeah, I tend to find that the British cover reveals a lot more than the US one. That's a good point.

RickJackson98 damn it I live in Ireland and we use the same cover as the U.K. and I don't like this cover a whole lot I usually prefer U.K. cover to the US (no offence) its just that US covers are abit to cartoony U.K. is more realistic. a)Incase people are serious about U.K. being weird then you got another thing coming I may be Irish but I take offence to that we are right beside U.K. and part of it b)yeah what is up with the whole hair thing they better not if given percy a haircut and on his arms there are frieken tatooes and I don't recall mention of percy ever having tatooes or I think they are tatooes c)hey guys what are you all on about you can't really tell much about it look behind the gorgons the sky unless the artist is just messing around it looks like the sky is changing colour now this can't mean anything good I mean maybe it means gaea is almost awake or somethiing really bad or maybe Zeus or Jason or Thalia are just pissed and around Percy (if it is him)you get an idea of the land scape no wait thats the ocean I think he is taking power over the ocean ok it has to be percy you can see him raising the waves as if it were a storm oh my gof that tells abit but from the US cover it looks like we might hit alaska soon maybe percy can take control of the ice if he has power over water d)I think the Romans won't mind that he comes from camp half-blood look he is still wearing his orange shirt unless the romans also wear that then he he might still be wearing his camp half-blood shirt unless he ran away

We have to buy the awful cover and look at it whilst reading!! (Joking) d) You should see the Throne of Fire cover! It's discusting. As if the Red Pyramid one wasn't enough... Thank the gods for the Lost Hero cover. e) What's with RR and giant snakes and snake ladies? f) The things on his arms are bruises.

Polly14 Why does the UK cover have to be so disgusting, i liked the covers to the Percy Jackson series and the lost hero wasnt to bad but this is horrible. The gorgons look stupid and Percy hair is bald when his hair is long on the US cover and his hair looks brown not black his arms look deformed, omg its dreadful urghh!
