Hey, everyone! Most of bạn who have been here for over...two months, I'd say, remember how crazy the fanfiction situation can get. After a new book comes out, people get excited and start nghề viết văn their new fanfic. Which is wonderful. Really, it's great. Unfortunately, it leaves this club, one for discussion and socializing, a big jumbled up blur of a bunch of new fanfictions.

I realize it's probably not my place to be nghề viết văn this as I've only been fanpopping since June, but I've been following this club (not in the stalkerish way XD) since October of last year. So I know how much the fanfic situation exploded.

Okay, enough with my ramblings, on to the point.

If you're bothering to read this bài viết and are posting/working on a new fanfiction, please please just do at least one of the following:

1. READ AMPH'S RULES.

Some aspects of it include: how to head it up, making sure it's đã đăng in a forum, not a series of articles, making sure that it's your best nghề viết văn with good grammar and punctuation. They're so so helpful and really do make your fanfic thêm polished.

2. tham gia PAULION'S SPOT.

Paulion recently made a spot called The Fanfic. It's a spot where bạn can write, post, share, and read your and other people's fanfics. Now, I know most of bạn are worried that no one will read it if bạn post it there, but the spot was formed a few days cách đây and already has 32 fans. It may not seem like much, but if bạn start posting your fanfic there and advertising it on this spot, your readers will tham gia and their readers will tham gia and so on and so forth.

Not everyone has to post their fanfic there but I've seen some of the elder members talking about what to do with all the new Mark of Athena fanfictions sure to come after the release of the Son of Neptune. Even before the code of no spoilers has been lifted, we already have a ton of new fanfics.

So if bạn have a fanfic bạn started posting after October 4th, I strongly recommend bạn read the rules and di chuyển it over to the new fanfiction spot.

I'm nearly done, I swear, I just have one thêm thing to add: before starting to post your fanfic, think carefully if you're ready to do it. Are bạn ready to keep up a posting schedule? Have bạn researched enough? Do bạn already have long-term ideas for much later in the story planned out? Do bạn know in which direction the story's going?

If not...maybe think about the các câu trả lời to some of these questions, scrawl them down, and write a beautiful new fanfiction.

athena305 @Leo- This is getting spammish but I have to ask: are you on the pirate side? Not only is that just plain wrong but I've always pegged you for a ninja guy... @Weirdo- So you'll be wearing an Invisibility Cloak?

LeoV44 ^^No, I'm a top secret ninja that has been ordered to investigate this club with other ninjas. I've also been ordered to kill anyone who admits there identity as a ninja so I thought you were going to do that. So I kill you...foo....

pink-bookworm I agree with it and when I joined there was like 400 people on this club and not as many fanfics but now there are so many newbies that I do t even think I'm one anymore and there are many new fanfics every day including mine and half of them aren't even to do with the heroes of olympus so maybe we could like tell the people that aren't doing fanfics to do with the heroes of olympus to post them somwhere else.

Perseus54321 Yeah, seriously, I think we need to ban fan fictions on OCs. Most of them are very loosely based on the series. several things that should be banned 1. re-post things on the walls like on Facebook 2. OC stories 3. videos of songs that you think represent the stories (that's what song fictions are for) I might have said trivia questions on PJO only HOO but seeing as I'm leading in most correct answers I just can't force myself to :p, but seriously, there are some ideas (like my sequel story) that are on Percy Jackson, or I think another was Chaotic Sea, not ones on your perfect Mary Sue that makes Percy and Nico fall in love with (I see this quite often and it is quite abused). You know, unless you're having a parody one (and most are hilarious), anyone agree?

FireOwl Agree :) and i dont post my fanfiction here, i put it on Fanfiction. net cause i know it would get polluted with fanfics. I may just be fanpopping for a 3-4 weeks but i've been actually here reading stuff since december.

athena305 Yes. PULL THE SWITCH. Just kidding, I didn't even see that movie. The point is, it's getting out of hand and we might as well stop it before it gets completely and totally out of control. But how exactly? Write a message on the wall? That will be drowned in a while. Tell every single person with an MoA fic to move it? I mean, that would work but it would take forever. Maybe we can divide up the job amongst a few people?

wierdo2 PULL IT!!!! (NOT KIDDING AT ALL!) We can report every single MoA forum as spam seen as we don't accept fanfics anymore? But that might be too harsh. So yeah let's split up and clean this spot!

pink-bookworm Yep but how excqctely do we clean this spot cause I know I've already moved both my fanfics from this club to the fanfic but can't delete them

wierdo2 @Athena305,nothing was offensive @pink-bookworm, You can't? Oh then try flaggining it as spam or miscategorized or just abandon it.

Perseus54321 abandoning it will make it worse, I'd rather have it here than a bunch of dead fics lying around

DaughterofEris It sucks that you cant delete forums... Can you?

athena305 Eventually the old fics will be pushed back further and further. I'm not too worried about the physical clutter.

pink-bookworm Yeah. @weirdo2 no I don't think you can delete the actual forum after a certain amount of time because I went to delete one of my old forums on the writing club and I couldn't

I-Love-Candy Nice article! I completely understand this and am swamped with MoA fanfics. Normally I wouldn't care, but half of them are riddled with spelling/grammar errors, are ooc, and don't properly use [i]quotation marks[/i]. Another fantastic article.

Perseus54321 everyone sees eye to eye, even though I'm tall and some may be short, bad pun, but the quotation marks annoy everybody

Nyssa was telling him,reading of her reports. They were 2 weeks in on the Argo 11 project ,and leo had not slept since yesterday at breakfast when he had fallen a sleep and almost drowned in his cereal bowl.
