It sounds to me like God left- gave up on humans, but I'm not really sure. Or the angels destroyed Him? But uhhhh wow, I don't think they could do that. I don't think they could hold Him prisoner either. But this is SPN so who knows?

Maybe the angels decided that they didn't like what god's all about anymore or wanted to "protect him" by forcing him into prison or wanted to keep him locked up so they could do things their way to make him proud and thought if they could bring paradise through a way that he wouldn't have let them do then he would be thankful....

Or maybe he never exsisted or maybe he left....i honestly don't know but for the moment this is my vote!

I don't think he gave up on humans though...out of everything that's the only thing i don't see as a plot line that would work.

I think he meant God is no longer in control.
Maybe he is a prisoner, maybe not, but wherever he is, he cannot stop this :(

ok i think the prison thing is ridulous, no way, who could put GOD in jail? by defintuion, even in SPN, GOD is all-powerful, no noob can touch God. he could have meant God justkind of abandoned earth which is stupid but ok, its a tv show so ehhhhh

I'm torn between God is dead, God never existed and God has abandoned earth, so this is just a random vote.

I don't care for religion in real life, so my personal feelings have nothing to do with this, I view god as a fictional character anyway.
I would like it if in the SPN universe god would be the distant clockmaker type, who once ruled Heaven but now just abandoned everything because he doesn't care at all, but I would like it even more if he never existed: if he was a fairytale made up by the archangels or someone even higher up in command to keep the angels in line and the demons and humans afraid.

IMO God has let things flow in their own way and that He wants the seals to break cause sooner or later it will happen.As Zachariah said, if the seals break now, then heaven on earth will come sooner after the apocalypse.I don't really think that He abandoned earth but that He's watching and allowing all the events happen and is waiting for the final battle between evil and good to take place.

I think he's dead.. maybe they killed them and now they want the apocalipse to happen so that they win and became the new God or something.. o_o

Honestly, I have no idea - except to say that God has not taken direct action against the Earth and its people for millennia; in the angels' eyes, they may take this as indifference. So maybe they began to rebel, a few here, a few there, and when He did not stop them, they finally took it to the point where they are now: ready and willing to take the world for their own. Personally, I think they're in for one heck of a big surprise before all is over and done! ;))

I think it should be balance everywhere, even in TVshow. So if Lucifer is in prison God is in prison too.
