During the sequence where Spock is drifting through V'Ger's interior chamber, at the same point as he states "The Epsilon 9 Station stored here with every detail", the viewer is seemingly treated to a likeness of ngôi sao Wars' Darth Vader (ominous black tam giác in the centre of the shot) and Miss Piggy from The Muppet hiển thị (highlighted).
