Sorry, there is a "too" missing after "He sometimes lives in his own little fantasy world but he does care about others, "

jd's human and all humans tend to be a little selfish but the show is filled with examples of how completely unselfish jd can be.

Just a little comment about answer number 6: How can you possibly say he stopped around season 3or 4??? He has been more selfish in season 6 than any other season! How do you explain the last 5 episodes? They're ALL about how selfish JD is.

Wouldn't you freak out if you realised you were having a baby?....Twice! He went through a lot that year including the death of a somebody he knew (Laverne), His best friend had a child so he gets less time to spend with Turk, he got a DUI for pushing his scooter home with the keys in the ignition, and he lived in a tent for a bit. Wouldn't that affect you even a little bit?

Don't forget that his ex got engaged as well, which is actually another thing I was referring to about his selfishness. He and elliott deserve eachother. Keith deserves better than her. I can't say it wouldn't effect me at all. we are humans. But I would have taken responsibility for my actions. I would take care of Kim and learn to love her til the day I die. She's way cooler than elloit anyway. This is funny how we are debating a fictional story about fictional characters in a fictional hospital. how lame are we? but this stuff happens to people in real life, and people idolize JD. Young men can use his "life like" experiences and copy them, and women love him to death, which I will never understand.

Look, he can sometimes be selfish but so can every single other character? And he learns from his many mistakes, and truly cares about other people.
