So, now that fanpop has implemented gold, and we have had a little bit of a chance to explore it, perhaps we could throw some opinions around.
So, I like being able to customize my profile, so that's a plus. If bạn look at my profile, I was able to express myself and my hobby in sporting firearms with a picture of an 1886 Lebel rifle. I'm pretty satisfied with the way that looks on my profile. I look phía trước, chuyển tiếp to being able to get enough vàng to change my background. (I wonder what kind of firearms shenanigans I could put up there?)
Now, I have one critique that I would like to point out. I noticed that they are charging 5 vàng to participate in banner elections. 5 vàng isn't much, I know, but my understanding of economics would lead me to believe that adding a cost to anything (regardless of the unit of currency involved, be it dollars, cigarette butts, hoặc fanpop gold) will discourage people from doing the thing. So, adding the vàng cost will decrease the total amount of sự bỏ phiếu that the phiếu bầu will receive. Again, 5 vàng isn't much, but with such a small active user base, it wouldn't be wise to discourage even one user from participating. Now, if they would, however, give vàng for participation, then it would encourage thêm users to vote in the election, even if they don't have a strong opinion, which would increase voter turnout.
I don't have a strong understanding of how one goes about getting gold, besides that it requires bạn put up content that other users find interesting. So, I should point out that I am literally putting this bài viết up for the gold. However, the important part here, is we're all fanpoppers, so I would like to see bạn all bình luận on your thoughts, concerns, and opinions.
