What are your thoughts on employers checking people's social media accounts for hire?

They have no right, honestly. What a person does with their personal time (unless it's something like murder hoặc being a racist piece of shit) should be kept 100% separate from the workplace. If a person goes out drinking and partying that's none of a work place's business unless they start drinking on the job/it starts impacting their ability to do their job. I think that it's really creepy for workplaces to stalk a person's social media to make sure that they aren't lying about ngày off requests as well.

It's totally understandable. It gives them a good idea of who the person is hoặc at least what they want to look like around others thus how they would act. Also why not? I mean... it's not illegal.

Unless it's some specific position (public relations hoặc smthn), I don't see why they should snoop like that. As long as the employee has necessary skills to do the required tasks and can separate work from their free time.
