What should I do? (opinions please!)

So, I have a bit of a problem....

Last year, I got amazing grades in math. I got a 98% average in math 10-1.But now, my grade is 60.2% average in math 20-1 AND declining. It's because of my teacher... [She's new... This is her FIRST năm teaching. She's like the 'experimental' teacher on us students.]

She explains it once, says "Okay, get it?" waits two seconds, and then moves on. She gives us about 28 các câu hỏi to do a ngày from a workbook (which my professional grade 10 teacher despises) everyday from the lesson she taught us, and if we don't do it, then we have to stay in her class at lunch. But she doesn't take our homework for marks.

But math is important to me! I tình yêu it! I don't even understand 20-1 trigonometry! I NEED good marks in math in order to become an architect! It's my dream! And I also need to be doing good in school in order to go on my class trip to Nhật Bản in March! And math is the only thing that's holding me back!

So what do I do? I have a test on Tuesday, which I KNOW I won't be prepared for because I don't understand it! I had to miss review on Friday because of my Grandad's funeral... (he died last Saturday) But my teacher still wants me to go through with it! And she KNOWS I don't understand it! She keeps telling me to go to the school website, but that won't work because of my computer!

Do bạn know any good tutoring websites? Youtube? Are bạn good at factoring trinomials? If so, can bạn help me? Please, just anything.. Give me your opinion on what I should do! It would be very much appreciated...

khan academy is really good (:

bạn could also get a tutor, that's what my little sister when she needed help! it could be a friend who's really good at math, another teacher from your school who would help bạn (maybe your trước đó one if she's willing to help bạn after school?) hoặc an outside of school organization. i doubt your parents would mind bạn asking for extra help, they probably want bạn to do well ^^

Study. lots and lots, if bạn tình yêu math it will be easy, do practice tests (which bạn can find online).

Tell the principal that she isn't doing a proper job.

At the risk of sounding like an American helicopter parent (which I'm not!), bạn need to get a parent involved here. bạn had a death in the family, and normally that should give bạn some kind of time allowance for tests, etc. That's only reasonable.

I stunk at trig; there are reference sách out there, but off-hand I wouldn't know which one to recommend.

Try to work on pulling up your grades, and talk to your classmates. Chances are, you're not the only one who is confused bởi her teaching methods. If there are several of you, then bạn approach her. If she's not receptive to your comments, then bạn go to guidance, hoặc whoever is tiếp theo in the chain at your school. And your parents still need to be involved.

bạn also have your past good marks as evidence that perhaps this teacher doesn't quite know what she's doing. Math builds on prior concepts, so it's not as if bạn suddenly forgot everything.

Good luck and don't let that trip get away because of one clueless teacher.

Okay I'm not much use with math even though I'm alsonin trig.
But first tell the principal the teacher is not doing her job. Try and find a tutor, type in the math problem on the net and sometines bạn can find explanations. And I know bạn hate her but have bạn spent any one on one time with the teacher? They tend to teach better one on one. Plus don't worry so much one năm of bad grades in math WILL NOT kill your dream of being an architect- I promise Trust me.

Spend extra time studying and ask someone to help bạn understand it. Look it up on the internet, go through websites that do tutor studying i.e. help bạn with specific math problems and such. If that doesn't help, then get a tutor and contact your school (get your parents to do that part) to tell them that bạn can't understand the math problems, because your teacher isn't approaching study with the right strategy hoặc attitude. That should help.

Jeez, trig? I'm only in Algebra II...well I would ask her to slow down a little bit since bạn can't seem to keep up very well. About getting your 60% grade up...all I can say is ask for thêm practice. Can bạn go to another math teacher for tutoring? bạn can in my school, like, if one teacher doesn't teach as well hoặc bạn just don't get it.
