How do I know I'm emo?

emo is short for emotional, so if your emo, your depressed and sad, and really in an emotional distress. but lately it's because thêm of a trend and a style

and goth is a style and a lifestyle.

Stereotypically, emo is thêm personal; it's thêm about your emotions and the way bạn feel. Goth is thêm about who bạn are and your interests (which are darker than most others' interests.) I could go as far as to say it's almost like romanticizing dark subjects and seeing beauty in what other people think is creepy hoặc scary. But that's just the way I see it.

Goth means different things to several different people. Generally, it is a tình yêu for things of a dark nature, things that are twisted, mysterious, and melancholy, and the act of twisting that tình yêu in to your life. It is a mix of what is both romantic and tragic, the dark and the dreary. Being a bit of a Goth-at-heart myself, I'm inclined to say that things of a Gô tích nature run much deeper than things of an emo origin.
I could go in to a lot of detail about what Goth is and isn't, but I don't really want to bore anyone.

I am not depressed, miserable yes, and bored, and pessimistic, and though I do not try to have any style in particular, just avoid colour because i don't like it and yet many people call me emo :( (it must be the hair, it is spiky on the back and I have hair all over my face :P) And I think it is stupid, because they have to label everyone according to trends and styles...You are emo if bạn want to be, I think I am not, so wearing only black, having 'emo hair' and looking like I am about to slit my wrists (a friend put it that way, a friend that knows how derpy I can be ) doesn't make me emo, (nor wearing a lot of eye-liner, I like eye-liner)...Since it has to do with emotions If bạn feel emo bạn don't have to follow the trend, and bạn can still be, while looking emo doesn't mean bạn are.
