Help?

Does anyone know of some good programs that bạn can download free off the internet? I need to create a slide show. I need to add pictures, videos, and music. I'm using Windows Live Movie maker and it keeps messing up. I've spent a total of 22 hours working on, and it messes up. Any thing else I can use?
