Can anyone tell me what Glamour-rock is?

A guy at school keeps telling me when I play Aerosmith hoặc Whitesnake on my iPod that it's Glamour-rock.

I was like 'wtf is GLAMOUR-ROCK?' and he exlpained somehow, but I still don't get it. He đã đưa ý kiến his whole family knows what Glamour-rock is and all...
