I love the fairy type.

I dislike the type hype.

Ehhh... I've got mixed feelings about this. I know that they did it to balance out the Dragon type. My big argument against it, though, is that a Pokémon type is a really fundamental thing in the Pokémon universe. It's a bigger stretch, I guess, to every few years say "oh look at these hundred-or-so completely unique animal-esque species we just discovered even though they're suddenly widely spread amongst people and have been for all of history!"

I think wasn't a bad idea.

To me, the fairy type was just an extra type to make some normal types stronger and to give dragon type another weakness other than itself.

I just like the old Pokemon...no Mega Evolutions, no Fairy types, nothing. I wish Pokemon was how it used to be...

I think it gets hate mainly because people don't want their precious dragons to be weak to more than two types like every other type, and the fact that it's the only real feminine type. The fairy type is meant to balance the meta game. Dragons, before, could basically dominate the game before because of the fact that it only had two weaknesses, with ice not being used very often. And besides that, Kalos needed to make up for it's lack of new Pokémon, so we got Mega Evolutions, and a new type.

Secondly, it helped to get more Pokémon tactical use. I mean, why would you create a Pokémon if nobody would ever use it? By giving some weaker Pokémon that could actually fit as fairy types said type, and introducing Megas, they make it so all 718 Pokémon have a reason to exist. I mean, who was really using Audino before It got a Mega? Who used Kangahskan? Nobody. Now? People actually get a dance to use ea and every Pokémon the programmers spend their time coding into the game. Fairy type was one of the best possible types to make.

Besides, we need another Power House type besides Dragon. People complained about Dragons being OP, they finally balance it,and then people are STILL upset.
