Bright fire in the sky has been blown out
Her pink, orange, yellow, purple evening colors Changed into starry blue domes with bright crystals The moon takes the shift in place of the sun For the night has come Flowers sleeping and folded up for night Bees and other daytime bugs all sleeping Moths take place for young butterflies Nighttime spiders won't quit working their webs Sleepy eyes and yawning Some people just relaxing Night is here to sing and watch All of us sleeping and relaxing Dreams take control of the subconscious Hopefully you won't have nightmares tonight Trees sway gently in the wind's embrace Street lights glare, trying to outdo the stars Stores closing Clubs opening The nocturnal creatures come out to play Leaving the daytime creatures sleeping Newborns and infants dreaming about their mother's embrace and a warm bottle in the morning Toddlers dream of a new toy or their favorite shows Older children's dreams are more complex Some of the adult dreams are scary As the quiet night goes by The only noisy sound Are the crickets chirping Sleep well in the cool night Morning will be here soon To awake you in a colorful bright embrace *I wanted to give you guys something that was WAY different from JUST LEAVE ME ALONE. This one is a lot more peaceful and has personification in it. I actually love this type of poetry better than the darker kind. Fall poems will come up soon, trust me! You may enjoy those! :D!* |
