), although the hospital has a strict rule against romantic involvements. Their palpable chemistry makes their storyline is a compelling highlight of the series.

This show, currently airing on BBC America, follows Ivy Moxam (Jodie Comer), who was kidnapped at age 13 and escapes 13 years later. Rankin serves as Detective Inspector Elliot Carne. He and his partner, Detective Sergeant Lisa Merchant (Valene Kane), trade banter and barbs… among other things. Elliot is the more emotional of the pair, and he really lets the disturbing case get to him. Unfortunately, his sympathy toward Ivy causes her to form a taboo attachment.
