One cây đồi núi, hill Mark Schwahn's original plan for Quinn and David was to go the "Sleeping With The Enemyish" rout with Julia Roberts. David was originally abusive and controlling.

The CW turned down the scripts because they didn't want to promote domestic abuse on their network. So this kinda left Mark in limbo because he didn't know what else to do. He had it all planned out really well and he tied in Clay and his backstory too. David was suppose to be an evil character but not "psycho derekish". He was to be a drunk, abusive, jealous type and controlling. Mark still had 707 as the flashback episode and there was suppose to be a scene where David beat Quinn. It was really dark but the cw screwed everything up. Clay and Quinn would slowly get close. Mark had this moment when after they have a date, Quinn would have unable to be physically intimate with Clay and, the next day, she would have confessed that she is on the run from David, her abusive husband. Clay and David would have gotten into this big fight and David puts Clay in the hospital. It was a really really good story but the network didn't want to promote domestic violence.

I think that would have been so interesting. That'd definitely be something new for the show.

I seen some of his old drafts before Season 7 started filming, it would have made Season 7 alot more interesting.

HALEY AND NATHAN WAS INCORPORATED A BIT TOO.

Though I think this story should be shown as an awareness that there are still domestic violence incidents going on in the world...I am glad OTH didn't show it. The story doesn't fit with the show and also giving this storyline to a brand new character is very risky...if you think about it. A domestic abuse storyline is meant to be very emotional and heart-hitting(and hopefully..one where there is a "light at the end of the tunnel")...so the only way I think OTH could have incorporated this storyline is if they were to have another character that the fans are already invested in to go through that. The BEFORE,DURING,and AFTERMATH of the domestic abuse needs to be shown and resolved in order to get a full grasp of the reality of domestic violence.I don't believe that season seven of One Tree Hill was the right time to have such a powerful storyline especially considering Lydia dying mid-season.Also considering that if the Clay-Sarah storyline were to also still be going on...then the spotlight would mostly be directed at Quinn and Clay rather than the remaining originals...Brooke,Haley and Nathan. This would definitely be a very interesting yet very heartbreaking storyline especially if Clay still did lose the love of his life,Sarah and Quinn never had that kind of love with her husband...but they ultimately found each other. It would definitely be a truly beautiful story but again...big storylines like that need to be done right which means the writers need to be invested in it which also means less time for the originals. Less airtime for originals= not very pleased oth fans!

I hope all that made sense!

THE NETWORK INTERFERED and they have since Season 4.
Mark was really pushing for an abortion storyline with Brooke but had to scape it because the network didn't want to promote abortion.

The same thing happened in Season 7, Mark had an abusive storyline planed with David/Quinn but again network inference, he had to do rewrites.

i dont think i would have liked it, brooke was beaten up in season 6 even though it wasnt domestic or owt, i dont think mark is a crap writer i think he's really good cause i love one tree hill but sometimes some of the storys he writes annoys me and i think the on would of. mark is kinda annoying i haet whats he's doing to brooke aswell, they waited ages ot have a bay and now apparently chloe wants to keep the baby 8x20, but i really hope the rumor that brooke gets pregnant is true, mark has always favoured peyton i think everyone knows that and brooke deserves a happy ending.

neither is a good choice.

I dont think that would have been interesting but I like what Mark has done and I think that he has really fought for the show and made it into what it is.
