Honestly this was never any more then a fan fantasy. They are both very sexy women but also very clearly strait.

I like Swan Queen and everything, but it wasn't a main ship of mine. I never really thought it would be cannon, so I wasn't very disappointed.

I thought this couple was really stupid and it's fanmade anyways. When I first heard fans make this up I just kept wondering what they were drinking and smoking that made them pull this idea out of their butts?

In defense of Swan Queeners I find that in a lot of shows people like to ship the main character and the main villain together. And I don't think it's stupid at all. I think it's fine to ship homosexual couples. No drinking and smoking were required to note that Gina and Emma were both Henry's moms nor was it required for them to notice that Emma was the only one who believed Gina when she said she didn't kill Archie, or that Emma and Gina stopped Storybrook's ultimate destruction from happening together in the finale.

In defense of the opposition, most shows don't go for homosexual couples because of the contrversity, so it was a bit naive of them to assume Swan Queen would be cannon especially with Neal there. As I said I'm a Swan Queen fan but I never expected it to be cannon. I think they are going overboard in sending hateful tweets to Adam and Eddy because of this and saying they won't watch the show for it. Not every ship can be cannon.

I don't mind gay couples when they're actually cannon, like Carol and Susan from Friends for example, I like them as a couple. However I hate it when people make gay couples that aren't official just for the sake of a gay couple, it's just stupid. I'd feel the same way if they were shipping a gay character with a straight character and it wasn't cannon. To me it's just stupid! If someone ever made a show where there was a cannon gay couple I'd be fine with it, well, as long as the show is entertaining and the couple is well developed and had chemistry. However Emma and Regina don't have chemistry, besides Regina is Emma's step-grandmother. Doesn't anyone else find it creepy and disturbing that they would ship two relatives together?

I get what you're saying; sort of like when Zutarians insist that Zutara is cannon just because. I guess you can say I just let people ship what they please, it doesn't bug me unless they rub it in my face.

I just dont see it, never did. There are similarities, like zanhar said, that make them an attractive ship as well as the ever-popular opposites attract trope. yet, they lack any sort of actual romantic connection. The writers have never implied that this was going to happen. In fact they gave both of these women there own male romantic interest. The Zutara craze is a good comparison. two very attractive characters with similarities and "opposites attract" quantities. There are other LBGTQ ships that have better chances in my opinion. *Mulora* The relationship is nothing but sextual subtext.

I'm glad the family tree isn't getting anymore messed up as it is.

Well I, as a Swan Queen fan who noticed the chemistry between Emma and Regina from the first episodes of OUAT, I totally feel undifferent about it.
I expected that Swan Queen wasn't going to happen. It hurts me to see all the hate being sent to Adam and Eddy on twitter, and lots of hate on the show itself

I was never a fan of SwanQueen but I would like it if they became friends instead of enemies.

@minervadawn I have nothing agains Phil, but I just do see as much chemistry between him and Aurora as I do with Mulan.

I never expected it to be canon so it wasn't surprising when they announced it wouldn't be...though with these writers nothing is set in stone anyway.

I ship SQ but I ship Emma with Hook more. As long as she doesn't end up with August (that possibility is over anyway) or Neal...

i think the writers are missing out on a pretty good opportunity here, but i really never expected swan queen would be canon.
it's a good idea, but it doesn't work with the show right now. it's still disappointing though.
regina and emma still have amazing chemistry. i just wish people wouldn't harass adam and eddy because then we won't see as much of it.
i feel for hardcore sq-ers but i prefer swanfire so i'm not completely crushed, just a bit disappointed.
