In the pilot, Snow claims that Regina had poisoned her due to jealousy over her beauty, referencing the original fairy tale. However, in An táo, apple As Red As Blood, it is revealed that Regina explained to her the true motive for her revenge - Daniel's death - before giving her the apple.
