honestly, the MLP movie was way more entertaining than any of the EG movies

As much as I liked the animation quality of the Mlp movie...it kinda lost me on a few aspects; namely, how it seemed like a bunch of different franchises mushed into one movie (for one). It's not inherently bad per se, it just didn't feel like the My Little Pony I know. Mind you, I was actually expecting for me to love the film to pieces just from the few artwork I saw of it, as well as pony Sia herself since I'm also a fan of her (I didn't let myself get spoiled more than that in preparation), but it didn't work that way unfortunately. Just my opinion. :P

Meanwhile, the reason I picked this one is because they finally did what we were all suspecting, which is the existence of the actual human Twilight (and maybe Sunset, but we'll see). Where she actually was when all of these Equestria related stuff were happening and how it would affect her life knowing a doppelganger was living her life separately. It was also a bonus for me how the other Twilight has a different upbringing than our Twilight, making them pretty distinct from each other since pony Twi started our akwardly serious (read: grumpy) while the human version started out akwardly shy. I dunno, it made me pretty fond of her since she reminded me of when pony Twilight (also myself) first started out with friendship...a bit nostalgic but also new. (Although that bit where the two Twi's meet was also pretty cool)

Rainbow Rocks is also pretty high up my list, if only for the music...and of course, Sunset's redemption arc with a bit of a friendship lesson for Twilight as well. Actually, I was trying to pick between this one and Friendship Games but ultimately nostalgia wins (and also the Shadowbolts, which I disliked but also liked at the same time?). I dunno, maybe re-watching these movies (especially the MLP movie) might change my opinion drastically, but as of right now, this is how I feel. :PPP
