1. Brand New
Everyone knows who Brand New is, hoặc at least you've probably heard some of their lyrics. They've been staples in emo since the early 2000s. But they just released a new song, link, after years of inactivity and are promising a new album. They're making a comeback, calling new attention to that sweet spot between pop-punk and true emo. Though there are also rumors of an upcoming breakup, they're promising something good in the near future. Keep an eye on them.
2. American Football
The band that truly made 2014 the năm of the emo Revival. They got back together after 14 years and started touring again, and it was fucking awesome. Like Brand New they have influenced countless modern emo bands and now they're influencing a whole new generation of emo kids with their melodic sound and lofty vocals. They're not like anything you've ever heard before.
3. Basement
In 2014, they also came back from a hiatus. Their hiatus was only 2 years long rather than 14, but emo những người hâm mộ everywhere still rejoiced. Tickets for shows sold out in giây and new âm nhạc was gobbled up. Basement rocks between emo and melodic hardcore, perfectly modern and totally relatable to any kid who's ever been a little bit Mất tích before. Everything they've put out lately has been brilliant (I'm super fond of their link) and they promise to keep putting out good stuff for years to come.
4. The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die
The name's a mouthful, and kids say it with a combination of eye rolling and affectionate grins. TWIABP is great. Their âm nhạc is totally unique, combining elements of American Football melodies, hardcore vocals and even spoken word poetry. (That's modern emo for ya. Take the best elements of all the genres and smash 'em together!) They're totally interesting and each of their records builds on the previous. Check 'em out if bạn never have before.
5. hổ Jaw
Yet another band that took a break and came back, but they were only out of the scene for about a year. When they returned they were at 2 members instead of 5 - Ben and Brianna - but they rock just as hard with help from Những người bạn when on tour. They don't have the same status as the other bands on this yet, but they'll be there soon. They went from playing small basement shows to selling out good sized venues in just a couple years. Their self-titled is a pop-punk/emo yêu thích and their thêm gần đây album is just as great. Totally worth a listen!

I loved you, did bạn tình yêu me too?
Guess we'll never know, we'll never know
I loved you, though I didn't want to
But, in a way that smile just couldn't keep me away
I loved bạn like a tình yêu song, baby
Yes I did, yes I did
I loved bạn like a slow song, baby
Yes I did, I did, oh
I loved you, wasted my time too
Five years of my life, my life
I loved you, your hair your eyes too
But, now I know the truth and it all comes back to you
Chorus
I loved bạn from the start
I loved bạn from the heart
The first time your eyes met mine
Chorus
I loved you
But bạn never loved me, did you?
