--Chapter 1--

The moaning from upstairs made me jerk up 'They're probably at it again' I thought to myself. I checked the clock to see that it was only after two a.m. 'Great' I thought. Lifting my body from the bed, I pulled on a hoodie, jeans and my converse.

I packed my bag and everything with spare clothes and grabbed it along the with my school bag. I made my way out the front door and started walking. My aunt lived a couple of streets away and she knew exactly how I felt.

"Well, well, who do we have here?" He questioned thêm to himself. "What's your name beauty?" One of the other guys asked. I looked at him and did a quick scrutinize. He had curly, bleach blonde hair that was half hidden underneath a YMCMB cap. He had brown eyes and thick lips which were pulled into a smirk and an evil one at that.

"None of your business", I snapped at him. Instantly, his face fell and he sneered. "You know who you're talking to sweet cakes?" He hissed. I smiled and was about to reply when my phone rang. I checked my caller I'd and I felt my face grow pale.

Why would he call now? We haven't spoken since...then. I answered the phone and regretted it in an instant because apparently, my ex boyfriend/abuser was standing in front of me. "Hey", he greeted and when I greeted back, recognition crossed his features.

"You", he breathed.

I ignored him as my phone tumbled to the ground and I turned away, running. I heard footsteps behind me and my speed fastened. I jumped out the window, bags and everything.

I saw a motorcycle that looked crashed and quickly, I hotwired it. Ok so what? I know how to hotwire a motorcycle, big deal. As I drove, I felt pairs of eyes on me. I turned my head to see that those five boys were indeed looking at me.

"So basically, you're telling me that her mom gave her to her aunt who gave her to me?" Ms. Fernandez asked and the policeman nodded. "You are to be her guardian since they were the last of her family", the policeman explained and Ms. F just nodded.

"So can I adopt her?" She asked and I looked up from the book I was reading. "No, that is against the will", he explained and she nodded. She looked at me and smiled. While they were talking I had to pack my things up cause I'm supposed to live with her.

"Joshua has struck again. He killed her parents and her aunt but made it look like suicide. Also before we discuss this, I have found some new...Gang members for the gang. They go to your school so that's alright but you'll only meet them bởi tomorrow", he finished.
