​What with the fact Made in the A.M.\'s finally out and the small matter of \'Torn\' in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge being a thing, One Direction\'s break isn\'t at the forefront of our minds rn tbh. Just thought we\'d update you on the status of the hiatus, though, \'cos Liam Payne\'s revealed it\'ll probably last about \'two years.\'

K so we sort of thought we only had to kill time throughout 2016 but we\'ll stay calm. And Liam gave us some tips on a \'Temporary Fix\' (inspired) for the break, so that\'s alright.

Chatting to your friend and ours Greg James about THE BREAK on Radio 1, Liam said: "Obviously we\'re all going to take a break for a little bit and consider where we are in the world. I just want to write songs, that\'s been the most fun process out of this, except for touring, has been the writing of the songs and we\'re going to come back so there\'s something to write for as well, for us and other people.

"We haven\'t really had time to write an album and whereas two years off...Writing\'s not really a job, it\'s so much fun. We\'ve always had to rush it so it\'s nice in these two years I\'m going to write some songs and see what happens."

Right so the words \'two years\' were used twice and that sort of confirms it, right? Boys we\'ll expect you back no later than late December 2017. Christ, we know 2017 sounds frickin\' ages away but it\'s not like we\'re not gonna see \'em about doing their solo stuff. Four for the price of one, eh?
