EXCLUSIVE: New One Direction Album “Going Really Well” Reveals Liam Payne

The singer teases more details about the band’s fifth studio album release live on Capital.

One Direction’s Liam Payne has exclusively revealed more details about the band’s brand new album.

The ‘Steal My Girl’ singer confirmed that recording for the new album has been "going really well".

Talking about the band’s recent studio sessions live on Capital Payne explained, “The songs have been coming out a bit more chilled.

"We want this to be quite a long-lasting album that you can listen to anytime, like Ed’s album,” he added.

Liam, Harry, Louis and Niall returned to the studio earlier this month to begin work on the follow-up to 2014 smash ‘FOUR’. 

The new release will be the boys’ first offering as a four-piece following the departure of band member Zayn Malik back in March.

Back in February both Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson were seen in the studio with Nickelback\'s Chad Kroeger working on a few ideas for the new record, and earlier this year Liam was also spotted in the studio with rap star Juicy J, proving 1D are looking for quite the eclectic song mix this time around.

The \'Steal My Girl\' stars started teasing plans to be a little more experimental on their next record at the end of last year, after their huge success worldwide with their last studio offering \'Four\'.

"We didn\'t know what to expect from this album," 1D\'s Liam Payne told Digital Spy. "Obviously it\'s not been done before so it\'s just an amazing thing for us.

"We\'re just so happy that this album\'s gone really well for us, and it\'s kind of given us a lift to go with music now somewhere else if we do happen to do another one," he teased, referring to "FOUR\' making One Direction the first act to have all four of their first albums debut at number one on the US Billboard chart.

Rumour has it One Direction may be looking for a Christmas 2015 release, after dropping their last record \'FOUR\' in November last year, but either way… the fifth album is DEFINITELY coming this year.
