Umm, what the heck does this mean?
OK so I was đọc some sách and stuff for some GSA paper (We actually have study times it's pretty great) and i found this in one of the paragraphs:
Portrayals of đồng tính nữ in the media suggest that Western society at large has been simultaneously intrigued and threatened bởi women who challenge feminine gender roles, and fascinated and appalled with women who are romantically involved with other women. Women who adopt a lesbian identity share experiences that form an outlook similar to an ethnic identity: as homosexuals, they are unified bởi the discrimination and potential rejection they face from their families, friends, and others. As women, they face concerns separate from men. đồng tính nữ may encounter distinct physical hoặc mental health concerns. Political conditions and social attitudes also affect the formation of lesbian relationships and families.
::::Lesbians may encounter disticnt pysical hoặc mental health concerns.:::: I dont understand what does that mean, like for real I don't know if that is saying đồng tính nữ like for real have health problems for just BEING a lesbian hoặc what. Last time I knew, I am perfectly healthy and in no way is pysically hoặc mentally sicker then someone who isnt gay. And I am not trying to be like naggy hoặc sound like a jerk for asking this either I just need to know what this means so I can put this in my paper.
