i originally liked it for it's culture. my grandpa was there when he was in the navy and told me all about it. he brought a bunch of stuff back and gave me some books he was given in the navy to learn the language

I love Japan because it is a beautiful country, But im sorry I have to pick anime xD Because like anime is my obsession and all lmao. x3 So yeah anime but I do love Japan for many other reasons like the music,Culture,Language,etc. Specially knowing im proud to say I have Japanese in me and I have been to Japan!
