There was a knock on Hugh’s door. He didn’t bother to get up. However, whoever it was on the other side of them, was really determined and continued knocking until it got so annoying that Hugh finally got up to get it.
He slowly opened it, not sure of whom he’ll find on the other side of them. He secretly wanted it to be… no, he didn’t want it. And it wasn’t possible after what he đã đưa ý kiến the other day. No surprise, it wasn’t her. It was David.
As soon as Hugh opened the door David pushed him to the side and got in.
“Hugh! Are bạn out of your mind? Why haven’t bạn called back? What the hell happened in that hospital?” David started yelling. He paused after he saw what a mess Hugh’s house was. Empty bottles of scotch everywhere, curtains pulled over every window making the house depressively dark.
“You haven’t left this house since L…” he almost đã đưa ý kiến her name, but he stopped, not wanting to hurt Hugh thêm than he was, and from what he’d seen, Hugh was pretty much damaged.”
“No, I haven’t.” was all Hugh đã đưa ý kiến after going to kitchen. David stood still while he waited to see what Hugh was about to do next.
Hugh opened one of the phòng bếp, nhà bếp cupboards and swore. “No thêm scotch? Damn it!”
“Hugh, we really need to talk about this…” David started as Hugh got back from kitchen
