I don't like kids who don't act like kids, and, too goodie-too-shoes kids are boring. And after how HD&L started off they deserve to get to be normal children instead of having to grow up too soon. And I really don't like promotion of child-abuse nor enjoy such stories anyway, so I pretty much hate those old italian(?) stories...

I prefer this also because I think the boys have had more than their fair share of grief by having been abandoned by their parents. (And not been loved by them enough in the first place to raise them properly.) They deserve this version of their uncle.
