I think the problem Wendus is that it feels like a slap in the face. It's more than sex with this woman. He opens up and gets intimate with her. And he's done it fairly quickly when Huddies have been waiting for years and all we've gotten is ONE kiss so far. How can he trust this woman in such a short time and not have the guts to even kiss Cuddy a second time or ask her out?
And how will Cuddy feel if she ever finds out about this? She felt hurt enough when she saw him with the hooker at the end of LTEC.
I'm not saying it's the end of Huddy but it's kinda insulting.
As for Cuddy and the PI....EW. He's not a bad character but I don't think he's a match for Cuddy. I don't see the witty repartee and spark that I see with House and Cuddy.

Word Wendus. FP is only in the season opener, so like it's not even a long relationship that we have to watch. House finds someone to connect with during a cruddy time of his life. Yeah it's not Cuddy, I dislike that it's not Cuddy, but there is still the rest of the season and despite House's "feelings" for this woman when he gets back to PPTH he still has to confront Cuddy and his feelings for her, which will have not disappeared just like that whether or not he did meet and fall head over heels for FP.

And please people stop giving me images of Cuddy and the PI. I would hate that, hate it. I just do not see him as Cuddy's type at all. Urgh no.

anyway. I won't judge the quality of this ep based on this kind of superficial, and biased, description. I will (certainly) watch it and see it for myself. ans seriously, if House had sex with his roomate there, I would still watch it! it's been 3 friggin' months ppl! how can you not watch the show??

also, We are all getting jealous in Cuddy's place which is understandable, but have you considered it from House's perspective? He found out nothing happened w/ Cuddy if not in his own crazy mind. How would you feel about that, and the person involved? (who previously told you you two did not have a personal relationship nor could have one). come on. now he's been months in a mental institution - and I can't stress enough how much being away from reality and 'normal life' affects people. what's so bad about him having a relationship with someone else? it's only human. it's way too romantic and idealistic (not to mention boring) to think he should be somehow saving himself for Cuddy - he's probably full of doubts, no matter what he feels. I'm not advocating for House, but please, don't hate him.

I didn't think TPTB would ever do anything so terrible to the House/Cuddy relationship that it could never be repaired. But this it. It wouldn't have worried me that much if it happened in the season 5 premiere but after all of the Huddy in S5, they do the one thing which negates it all. Is this just to shut the Huddys up once and for all I wonder?

Everyone keeps saying she's just in the premiere but how do we know she won't be back later in the season? DS seems to like to squash Huddy progression at any chance why would it be out of the question for him to do it again?

Oh, and it's not jealousy I feel on Cuddy's behalf. I more feel like she is a sexy and cool lady and I hate for women with all that innate power to put themselves on a shelf for a man who isn't even theirs yet. Let him have his conquests that's natural, but let her have conquests too. She needs to have someone other than House and Wilson to open up to. She needs sexual release just as much as any of the other characters. It doesn't have to be Lucas, but it should be someone formidable to House. He has to realize that Cuddy is a woman who has options. She shouldn't have to wait for him the rest of her life. She deserves her own 'Stacy' equivalent.

Totally agree with you Huddyforever. The worst of it all is House is sweet and loving towards her. The Huddies are not even dreaming that House would act that way towards Cuddy. However, House is doing it for this woman that he knows for only a short period of time. What does that say for Huddy? Even though she is only there for the premiere, if House and Cuddy were to ever hook up, I would always remember what he did with this woman. I would always look to compare and see if he treats Cuddy better than this woman because Cuddy deserves so much more. This whole season premiere thing also degrades any possible future Huddy hookup. I will always think that if this woman did not reject him, would he choose this woman over Cuddy? This makes me so angry and sick. DS has managed to destroy the beauty of Huddy singlehandedly in one episode and erased everything beautiful between them that happened for the past five seasons.

I hope Cuddy hasn't been sitting around waiting for House because it would make her look so pathetic. She is not even mentioned in the premiere. I thought part of House being at Mayfield was due to the hallucination, but it is not even addressed. Talk about bad writing.

Totally agree with you huddyhuddy. The writers certainly aren't above making Cuddy look pathetic. I think when DS said 'taking a step back' he should have said "we are totally destroying Huddy and possibility if it for the future"

The thing is DS did this to himself. He's drilled it into us how damaged House is and how he never opens up. He even has trouble opening up to Wilson! And this FP character waltzes in and does in 2-3 months what 5+ years haven't been able to do? I think that's BS but I will wait til I see the eps for a final analysis.
Depending on how they handle the FP/H relationship, I will understand if Cuddy goes to Lucas although I will totally hate it if they do.

This must be the 'Housian' way for House to deal with his obviously non existent feelings for Cuddy. Exactly. My biggest problem is he opens up to a perfect stranger. We've been told by DS that he has problems with this. So this means this woman is suppose to mean a lot to him. This demeans anything that Cuddy (or Wilson) has done for him. I find it hard to continue shipping Huddy when this has been how its been degraded to.

Agreed. It is excatly what he would not do with or for Cuddy so one can only assume this woman he trusts more than he trusts Cuddy and after some of the things she has done for him and the length of time they have known each other that is the killer blow.

And the episode is suppose to spend a lot of time on this supposedly love story and they even have to shove the full-on sex scenes in our face. It's like they are spitting on our faces and telling us to stop deluding ourselves into thinking that there is any future for Huddy.

So true, i wouldn't think there'd be much to the sex scenes though, given what they are allowed to show at this time on TV, not that I want to think about that at all.
I used to wonder how Hamerons reamined after the last few seasons which I think Huddy is now at. Officially Over. I won't keep watching because I don't even hope after this that House/Cuddy do get together. I hope Cuddy marries someone else and lives happliy after having nothing to do with House. Wow, guys..what's up with this? I understand the bitterness..but there's a reason for it. We already got spoilers that there will be Huddy in episode 6 and up. I'm not gonna lie, watching this sex scene isn't gonna be easy. Actually, it's gonna suck. But understand what he's going through. He's lost in his intimacy. He hallucinated something that he wanted so much..and to find out it was all made up? That'll mess with someone. He's opening up to this woman because of his situation. He's physically and emotionally vulnerable. He's never exactly been in this position with Cuddy. So that's why he hasn't opened up to her so easily. But he did kiss her in Joy because they were both in pain at that time. Maybe this woman is also in some sort of situation? maybe they in some ways think they are helping the other. He doesn't love this woman. She is more than likely just a temporary fix. Something he just needs in that moment. He wants to get something back that he lost in his hallucination. I don't really know..but I think it's waaay too early to jump to conclusions. This may make DS seem harsh..but when he wants to give us Huddy..he damn well gives it. I trust him and what they plan on doing this season. We know Cuddy confronts House and wants to know where they stand. We have good things to look forward to. Don't let this get to you just yet. We have a whole season ahead of us! It'll get worse before it gets better.

Well the review did say that he goes to this woman's house and asks her to stay. So, it wasn't temporary for him. He wanted to be in a relationship with her. So this isn't some small thing for him.

It's good that you are optimistic. But about Cuddy confronting him, most likely the scene will end with him deflecting and saying it didn't mean anything. DS is not going to put them together. He might at the end of the show, but I think for most viewers, they would have lost interest by that time. I was hopeful for Huddy, but this episode really dampens any hope for Huddy. No matter how they try to build up Huddy in the future, this will always leave a bad taste in my mouth. If I was a woman and I found out that the person I love was able to open up to another woman when he hasn't been able to open up to me for the last 20 years, I would seriously feel betrayed and question if he really loves me. Sometimes, the emotional betrayal is worst than any physical betrayal. I actually would like Cuddy to find out and tell him off. At this point, House doesn't deserve Cuddy's love or respect after all that she has done for him.

Ok, to all the people above me complaining they won't the show now because House is sleeping with someone else who's not Cuddy, is ridiculous. If all you guys did was watch the show for Huddy and nothing else, then you shouldn't even have watched to the show to begin with. Don't get me wrong, I am an OBSESSED Huddy fan, but that's not the only reason why I watch the show. The show has amazing story lines, and every single episode of House is stunning. My point is, if all you're doing is watching because of Huddy, and not the actual show, then I'm glad the show is losing your views.

Im more upset that the first House sex scene we get is with some stranger!!!! Even his Stacey sex was after the fact. I don't want to see him having sex with this character, up against a wall, in a chair. I don't care how significant it is in the long run. They obviously have to know how much of an uproar this is going to cause and it's just mind-boggling to wonder what they are thinking.

It bugs me that this sex and fling with chick has to even be a part of his mental health storyline. I wanted pure House dealing with himself for once not some distraction. And once again everyone is getting laid except for Cuddy. What's up with that?

@Rosehustle - I agree it would be nice for her to get some action but the reality is she's a new mother, a busy career woman and she's kinda in love with someone. I don't think getting laid is her top priority right now...unless it's with the one she loves.

I guess I am kind of not excited about the premier, but at the same time, I am convinced that they won't show anything about Huddy for at least 4 months or more. I have a feeling that Wilson will fill Cuddy in on the halucinations House was having about her, she will get up "false" hope again and we will see (my/our) favorite heronine bite the bitter pill of rejection and long suffering again.
I WOULD like to see her with someone who admires her and makes her happy, respects her and is passionate about her. I would have loved that to be House, but I think that won't happen any time soon. Bring in a relationship for the poor woman! The PI dude would be great, or even if Wilson would step up to the plate, it would be something. I guess this is why I am not a writer.

LadyLuck523 I get what you mean that she's busy but there are single moms with careers and who date occasionaly. She doesn't have to love someone to make out with them or just have some fun. I guess I get tired of these old double standards that are always forced on female characters but not their male counterparts. It gives the wrong message that the woman who is the most powerful and self-sufficient on the show has to be frigid or nearly celibate while she pines for some man. Sure she loves him but she needs to explore other possibilities too or she'll never have any happiness.

She did sort of go out with the PI guy in the beginning of season 5 but he was no match. In earlier seasons, I could almost see her with Wilson but they will never go there now. Plus, I'm not sure I'd like her as the 4th ex-Mrs. Wilson. I just wish they'd give us more of Cuddy's backstory. We hardly know anything about her.
