Is it just me hoặc does there seem to be some odd parallels between this hiển thị and the movie Definitely, Maybe? And what does that mean for Robin/Ted?

The movie Definitely, Maybe is a romance/mystery wherein a man is telling his daughter the story of how he met her mother. Only he's also telling her about his other tình yêu interests and has changed the names so she won't know who is who.

And *SPOILER* it seems the whole reason he's doing this is because he and the mother are getting divorced and he's really in tình yêu with one of the other women in the story.

As soon as I saw this I immediately thought of HIMYM and Robin. It's been pretty much ruled out that she's the mother but for Ted to be telling his kids the story the way he is, wouldn't it make sense that it's because the mother is (or will soon be) out of the picture and that he wants them to understand why he's hooking up with Aunt Robin?
(Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Robin/Ted fan, I just find the details eerily similar.)
