i was just glad they didnt make him ever try to take it seriously, he just looked like an old man trying to help out a young and "hip" friend. The actor who did the rapping wasnt trying to take it over the top either (especially with him being forgetful) so it was humorous and more sweet than it was just corny.

Another way to look at it:
House did not even rap at all in that scene, the character was just filling in a forgetful patients "rhymes" which house only actually did on a few of his lines, mostly he was coming up with his standard sarcastic dig on authority

lol. Well at the end, he DID get into it.
With "gangsta" hand movements.
It made me happy to watch.

totally understand. i know he wasn't really trying to rap so much as filling in blanks. but it was funny, though he did kind of get into it in the end, with the head bopping though, and that in itself was very funny
