UUUUUUUGH! I only got three hours of sleep last night. T.T the underclassmen flutes had a sleepover in honor of the senior flutes who graduated this year and DEAR GOD! I had to go even thogh we stayed up till six then I had to open in the morning. *cries*
I didn't know Emmanuelle was in it. Of course, I didn't really look at the links that I posted for everyone else to view. I had just been watching some NCIS reruns on USA the other day and I saw that preview. I didn't pay much attention to it until the very last couple of frames from the clip, which showed Chris.
OMG! I was working on a story today during a slow period at work when our power went out for two seconds. Thank God for AutoRecovery!! I wouldn't go so far as to say that I was close to beating my head against the wall, because I had only got about 5-6 sentences typed on it, but it always pisses me off when I lose work.
I have to remember when it comes on because I think Emmanuelle is one of the leads and I need a new summer show to watch anyway.
I hate when projects I'm working on just shut down. WMM does that a lot with big projects but thankfully they save everything that I was just working on.
I thought what everyone else thought. EPIC!! It's definitely going to make the next 4-5 months go by SUPER slow. Are you a Tonks fan **glancing at your icon**?
So, in order to help myself with my Harper's Island fanfics, I've decided to script the episodes. What do you think about my style?

[Scene cuts to Jimmy Mance’s house where we see Abby Mills, asleep on the couch and hear water running in the background. There is a knock on the door. Abby wakes up as a second knock is heard. She gets off the couch and walks over to answer the door. Her father, Sherriff Charlie Mills, is at the door. Abby is surprised to see him.]
Abby: Dad!
Charlie: Abby!
Abby [looking embarrassed]: I…it’s not… Um, Jimmy’s in the shower.
Charlie [looking equally embarrassed]: Right…well, tell him I’ll meet him at Pepper’s.
[Charlie turns to leave.]
Abby [nodding]: Okay, will do.
[Charlie stares at Abby.]
Charlie: You doing okay?
[A door is heard opening.]
Abby [nodding]: Good. Fine.
[Jimmy enters the scene with a towel around his waist.]
Jimmy: Morning, Charlie!
[Abby stares at Jimmy in disbelief.]
Abby: Wha—Charlie? [Abby looks from Jimmy to Charlie to Jimmy again] You call him Charlie?
Jimmy [ignoring Abby and addressing Charlie]: She telling you about last night?
Abby [turning back to Charlie]: Ah, there…there’s nothing to tell.
Charlie: Don’t worry. Jimmy’s a fisherman. I’m used to his tall tales. [to Jimmy] I’ll take a rain check on Pepper’s.
Jimmy: No, no, no, no. We’ll meet you there.
Charlie [looking confused at Jimmy]: We?
Abby [looking from Charlie to Jimmy to Charlie again and pointing her finger back and forth]: You guys had plans?
Jimmy [to Charlie]: We’ll see you there in twenty. [Jimmy exits]
[Charlie nods his head at Abby and turns to leave while Abby closes the door. Scene ends.]
I like the scripted style. It's easier to keep the reader interested than with long paragraphs. Plus, it makes it look like you wrote a lot more than you really did. Which is good. ;)
Yep, I'm a Tonks fan. She's my favorite chick character.
Tonks is an awesome individual. The actress' name escapes me at the moment, but I loved her portrayal of Tonks. Probably not as faithful to the books as it could have been, but still a nice character.
Yep, it's "Thwack." I'm trying to include enough details so that I don't have to go back and watch the episode if I don't necessarily have to. It's slow going, but I'm trying to make sure I have the dialog absolutely correct. I'm up to the part where Malcolm's in his room and Danny pops in and asks about Booth (9:39 in and I just started the 6th page). I think when I'm done with that scene, I'm going to go to bed and finish watching "Gurgle," which I started last night. Hence the reason I started my scripting with "Thwack." I had already watched it and the DVD was still in.
Since "Gurgle" is supposedly the episode where Christopher Gorham found out he was the killer, I have been watching his every movement avidly, trying to pick up any tell-tale signs.
P.S. I totally believe you didn't cheat. That's what happens when you just finish an HI kick. It's all fresh in your mind.
LOL, I'm glad you have faith in me. But I actually backtracked and found link icon I made ages ago and knew it was from that episode. I'm not so great with knowing what happened in each episode... =P
Are you going to post your transcripts to the HI spot when you're done? I think those would be helpful for people looking for quotes for icons and whatnot. I can't believe you're doing that much, I get annoyed when I have to pause/rewind to get one quote right. =P
Natalia Tena is Tonks. I didn't like her at first because she didn't look how I pictured, but dammit, she's Tonks - you can't *not* like her. I think she's doing a pretty good job, although I hate that they gave her like 30 seconds of screen time in Half-Blood Prince. *sigh* Movie adaptations suck.
I'm not sure about whether or not I'll be uploading them to the HI club. I estimate they'll run about 20-40 pages and the last time I tried to post a 15 page chapter to a fanfic I was writing on another club, it wouldn't let me. I had to break it into two parts. Then there's the whole copyright thing. I'll see what I can do. If I can't put them up on FP, I might look around for a TV transcripts website that I can post them on and then link to them.
I get annoyed with rewinding constantly after a while, so when that starts to happen, I just move on to something else for a while.
I do agree with you on movie adaptations. That's why I have to constantly remind myself that they are a separate medium from novels. I tend to enjoy them more that way.
I'm off to bed now. It's almost midnight here and I have to get up for work in the morning.
