As you fans know, for the Fox show\'s final season, five new cast members were brought in. I sat down with them to do a deep exposé on what they are like in real life (just kidding: I was just looking for shipper spoilers), and found out they actually share some interesting real-life "coincidences" with their characters, particularly when it comes to their own backstories. Clearly,
\'s casting team has some kind of other-worldly sixth sense when it comes to finding actors who share a similar past with their roles, and apparently, in record time. And therefore, the only logical conclusion we can make is that they probably aren\'t mere mortals.
Noah Guthrie (Roderick) told me he is thrilled to be inspiring high schoolers who feel like they don\'t fit in, because as he puts it, "I was the big kid at my high school, so I get how that feels….When they contacted me, they told me the character background and I was like, ‘This is basically my experience in high school."
Just like his character Spencer, Marshall Williams played football most of his life, including  most recently at the University of Manitoba. And, duh, he sings—and faced a little teasing from his teammates because of it, earning the nickname "Kelly Clarkson" after auditioning for
\'s McKinley High football field—"Except one time they were using a hydraulic cannon and supposedly it would blow out my knee."
Samantha Ware (Jane) told me she fully relates to Jane because "I was a theater geek and I was always trying to put on a performance. I always wanted to be the center of attention... I\'ve always been really ambitious and always chased after my dream, and that\'s exafctly what Jane is doing." Thankfully though, she was never rejected by an all-boys singing group.
The twins, Laura Dreyfus and Billy Lewis Jr.  are fantastically NON-creepy in person, but they do share a very special bond, having been friends for years and gone on tour in a theatrical production of
. "The funny thing is coincidentally is we knew each other before this," Billy reveals. "That day we both got the call was just UNREAL, that she was playing my sister."
? We know what we are thinking, especially upon hearing that the newbies were cast with crazy speed: "It happened so fast...I was in New York and then in LA and filming with Lea Michele the next day!" Samantha reveals. Not to mention, the
casting people are also crazy good at discovering superheroes...You know,  The Flash and Supergirl.
As for actual information (I swear, I do actual jounalism sometimes, too!) on what\'s ahead in the
romance department [Spoiler Alert: The twins are not as incestuous as they seem], why Marshall will be dancing and why
fans will be "happy" and "find closure" with the final ending, check out the video interviews above!
