\'Game of Thrones\' Season 5: Sansa and Theon\'s reunion might destroy Reek
Game of Thrones has been added to your favorites.
For seasons on "Game of Thrones," Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) has done his best to forget who he really is. As a torture victim of Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon), he has fully become the creature "Reek" his master crafted -- but maybe not for much longer.
In Season 5\'s fifth episode, Theon finds himself face-to-face with Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), aka the biggest reminder of who he once was since he fell into Ramsay\'s clutches. Though her pity for his current situation quickly turns into disgust when she remembers how he betrayed her family, her naivety about the evil Ramsay is capable of brings back something unexpected in Allen\'s character: His Theon identity.
"I don\'t think she\'s seen fully what [Ramsay] excels at. I think that\'s part of Reek is sort of bubbling Theon back up to the surface in terms of him not wanting to see her go through the same treatment he went through," Allen tells Zap2it. "I think there\'s definitely those feelings of betrayal and guilt due to him betraying her family in the first place and playing a part in her being in this situation anyway."

It doesn\'t help that Sansa managed to paint a huge target on herself in her dinner scene with the Boltons. By showing off her backbone, she made herself yet another character on "Game of Thrones" Ramsay can try to break. While she doesn\'t realize the danger of that, Reek/Theon does.
"She\'s trained herself to, if it did have an affect on her, not let it show. In a way, Ramsay might even see that in her, and that\'s kind of what the scene in episode 5 is about, is just making her feel as uncomfortable as possible and trying to break down her barrier, because they haven\'t really succeeded yet," Allen says. "I think her recognizing me as that thing that used to be Theon is now this thing in front of her, and so [Ramsay is] just sort of constantly poking and prodding her and trying to make her crumble."

This union of Sansa\'s storyline with the Boltons\' is the first time since Season 1 Allen and Turner have had a chance to work together, "and even then we really didn\'t get to work together that much." Though it\'s a deviation from "Game of Thrones" George R.R. Martin-written source material, Allen thinks this connection of the characters is good for the show.
"It was just brilliant to be able have a different character come into the storyline and bring her storyline with her as well," he says. "She\'s just been brilliant to work with. She\'s just a lovely person to be on set with as well. She just switches it on straight away, and just me as an actor it\'s been an absolute pleasure to work with."
"Game of Thrones" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.
